> 24 hourInstalled this under the dash of my 1984 Chevy C30 crew cab. Just set your scanner baud rate to 9600 for it to work.

> 24 hourI bought the GPS right after the SDS-100. A month later, I went on a 3,000-mile road trip and found it was great for updating all the agencies along the way. If you travel, its worth the investment.

> 24 hourNot a fan of wires. Unfortunately, this has plenty. Had to hard wire to get rid of 2 wires. There is no option but to cut the cig lighter power supply or get a bit creative as I did. Ultimately, I hid all the wires. The kit seems to be outdated and could be consolidated. Still, works well. Also, not much literature with it. Have to Google or YouTube for more info.

> 24 hourI very strongly suggest that you watch the YouTube setup video by ScannerMaster on how to set up the GPS for your scanner. Out of the box, the set up is not intuitive. Keep in mind that this kit is for a variety of different scanner radios marketed by Uniden, and there is not one universal GPS data port. This means that you will not use all of the cables supplied in the kit, only those ones you need for your particular radio scanner. You will have unused cables left over, but save them if you have more than one kind of Uniden radio scanner. Also make certain that you set the baud rate of the GPS correctly. The BCD536HP wants a baud rate of 4800, whereas a Home Patrol 2 wants a baud rate of 9600, for example. If the scanner doesnt recognize the GPS unit, try changing the baud rate to 9600 (the default is 4800).

> 24 hourtoo many wires ideally would have both power for radio and GPS puck sensitivity a little low compared with similar pucks as there are little plug and play alternatives it will do job but approach is clumsy
