07-06-2025The biggest problem I have with this tensioner is the poor quality idler. I mounted this on one of my ender 3 pros to test it out and it had a pretty severe wobble on the pully. The unit is easy enough to take apart so the pully could likely be replaces, however... The Y tensioner I received is not designed well for the Ender 3 Pro. Because it mounts to the upper part of the extrusion, instead of the lower like the stock and other y tensioners, it causes you to lose some travel on the Y axis. This is just poor quality and design, look elsewhere.

06-06-2025This a solid unit already assembled ready to go! this took less than 10 minutes to install. Would have been faster but I took my time to get the correct tension with the knob. So easy ( Just 2 included hex screws NOT phillips yayy and 2 tension nuts) I am going right now to purchase 2 more for my other two Ender3 Pros. Thanks UniTak3D for a Great product and super fast Amazon shipping!

> 3 daySupper easy to install makes adding tension to the x axis simple I like the fact the the bearing is groved for the belt. Should help prevent layer shifts

> 3 dayInstalled and worked fine. Normally would get 4 or 5 stars from me. But after a couple months my printer got really loud during printing. When I held the tensioner it stopped. Turned out the bearings are crud. Took it apart and cleaned it. Tiny little bearing turned 20 qtips rusty orange. Its already sounding bad again so Ill be buying some bearings and replacing them. Highly recommend disassembling, decreasing, and relubricating the bearings with something more resistant to rust.

> 3 dayIt was a breeze to install and made tightening the x belt super easy. 10/10 would recommend.

> 3 dayGreat tensioner, well built. As someone mentioned, if your bed size is set to 235mm, the Y carriage will hit the tensioner, not a problem for me since I upgraded to linear rails.

> 3 dayWorks very well. Easy to install and super durable. Should be the gold standard for 3d printers to have pre-installed.

Greater than one weekThis was necessary for my Ender 3 Pro; I was having stair-stepping issues after a whole year of printing and discovered that my X-axis cable kept jumping due to the slack it developed. However, after I installed this along with a fresh cable, the stair-stepping problem disappeared! I am fully aware that you can 3d print these, but metal lasts longer and it gives a more finished appearance; as if it were a part of the machine when I got it.
