I had broken the hose on my Shark Navigator U440 vacuum. I ordered this piece. The price was right, it arrived the next day and fit my machine perfectly. Saved me from having to go out and buy a new vacuum.

Exactly what was needed

I love this vacuum, and we use it so much that the hose was getting worn out, splitting along the folds. It was so great to be able to replace just that part, and not have to buy a whole new vacuum. Very easy to change out--it just popped right into place. Ordering page made it easy to know I was choosing the right part for my machine.

This product was part of my vacuum cleaner that fit into a pipe. I ordered something that said it would fit into my model vac. It didnt. Once I learned how to return it that problem was solved. I needed a human to assist me reordering what I needed. After many attempts I finally contacted a human and between the two of us we discovered the part that I needed. I now have a working vac thanks to Amazon and my persistent drive to get what I wanted and needed.

My Shark Navigator is the best vacuum Ive ever owned! I have 2 very large, hairy dogs, and after 7 years, my Shark is still doing a good job. The motor is still good and has not lost any suction, which is usually what determines whether or not I get rid of a vacuum. Ive replaced the beater bar and belt 1 time, the filters several, and the hoses a couple of times. Replacement is easy and inexpensive.

I noticed our vacuum hose had some holes in it from general wear and tear. I went to the Shark website to order a factory replacement, but they were out of stock with no ETA. So, to Amazon I went and came across this exact replacement unit, for less than half the price of the factory version.I was a little hesitant, based on some of the other reviews, but figured I would give it a shot since I didnt have many other options. THE GOOD: The unit installed super quick and easily and worked perfectly (I have suction again!). The cost for this unit is a great value, even if it only lasts half as long as the last one. THE BAD: Nothing really BAD, however, I do wish the hose was the same length as the original, instead of slightly longer. It sags a bit when in the upright position, so it doesnt look as clean. And, the plastic definitely feels cheap, compared to the factory part. As others have shown in their reviews, I wont be surprised if/when the release tab breaks off. But, so far, so good.
