Bought for my 7 yr. old granddaughter. The larger size paper (compared to regular 8.5 x 11) makes an aspiring artist feel a little more professional. Also, I especially ordered this sketchpad because it was spiral bound. Its so nice to be able to flip all your previous work out of the way to work on something new.

I gave these sketchbooks to my nephew with a set of pencils and markers and a how to sketch book hoping hed become the next Van Gogh. Well, he quickly decided he could not possibly draw the things in the book. But, he ended up sharing the pads with his little sister because the high quality paper is the only kind they have that doesnt bleed. They really like to color with markers, and this lets them do that without destroying whats underneath. So, it ended up being a good gift.

These are for my granddaughter the artist. She is going to love it.

My kids love these. The only thing is, the wire spiral on the top has about 1/4 inch gap so the paper comes out. It is fine, except when you want to flip the page and not take them out. This is a constant problem. We jimmy rigged it so that it will stay closed. I wouldnt buy again for that reason.
