> 24 hourGreat umbrella. You push a button and it shoots open. You push it again and it snaps closed. You have to push the telescopic shaft back into the handle. The spring is a little stiff so just lean it into a wall or the floor while guiding it into the handle. Not sure why some havent figured that out by themselves... Its easy. People just want to blame everything and everyone else for user errors anymore. Figure it out, people. Not that difficult. It is not hard to do as some are suggesting. They are just doing it wrong and refusing to figure out anything for themselves and likely complain to managers too.

> 24 hourSo its ok for regular rain and wind. Nothing special. You can probably find it cheaper in Marshalls or TJMax.

> 24 hourMy umbrella broke and its time for a new one. I looked at bunches of compact umbrellas and decided to try several different ones. This ended up being my top pick. I want one that will sit under the back of the driver set in my car, where its handy but wont be stepped on. This umbrella is a nice size for that. And this umbrella feels a little more substantial than a couple of the others, a little sturdier, a little better made. I looked at the loops connecting the spines to the umbrellas and the tips. How long will they last? Im sending others back and keeping this one. And I do like the inverse/reverse idea, because sometimes when several people come in out of the rain, its a problem to find a place to set the drippy umbrellas. Thats a nice innovation. I do wish it folded just a little more compactly - but its not bad. It takes time, but it can be squeezed back into its sheath. Its fine under my car seat, just not quite a compact travel umbrella. I also like the Teflon. Its terrible for cooking, but my umbrella is not likely to get over 350 degrees F - so it should be safe! And it will repel water, not absorb it. Thats a nice touch.

> 24 hourI don’t like the fact I have to turn it down with my hands, and in the video it does it automatically. It’s an easy to use umbrella, but it does take up force to close it down. Other then that it’s a good compact umbrella to have in car.

> 24 hourWith weather patterns differing from place to place, its hard to say what you may need. However, Im near the Gulf coast, and the weather can be very unpredictable. As such, Ive learned that its a good idea to have a compact umbrella in each vehicle, in case of a torrential downpour. It was in that spirit that I got an UVANTI Umbrella Inverted Umbrella Windproof Travel Umbrella with Teflon Coating and Reflective Stripe, 10 Ribs Compact Reverse Umbrella Automatic Folding Umbrella, Blue. Umbrellas vary widely in price, and the UVANTI is firmly in the low-middle price tier. Often the brand name, and not quality, is responsible for higher prices, so I went into this with an open mind. Ive included a couple photos to show you the actual item. The canopy and suspension appear to be of decent quality. The handle, on the other hand, is adequate, but feels a little cheap. The button release works well, and every time. As for the function of the umbrella, Im a fan of the inverted style... especially for ingress and egress from a car, or for entering a home or business. Its really nice to not just dump a ton of water out in an area you didnt intend. Im not really sure what the Teflon will do on the fabric. Im used to nylon canopies, of various types, and Im not sure that they typically are coated. Im not really an umbrella subject matter expert. I do now a bit about PTFE, though... If UVANTI uses Teflon, you dont have to worry about PFOA. While youd probably elect to have a larger umbrella on-hand in the event that you know rain is imminent, I would say that the UVANTI is great as a car/emergency umbrella. The reflective strip is a great feature that all umbrellas should have. Recommended
