Vallejo Brown Earth Gel, 200ml

> 3 dayThis was my first time purchasing a basing product like this, as I usually paint/detail bases myself. However, I wanted something with some more texture and flair to help my minis stand out. I wasnt sure how much I would like it, but after trying it, I think that this is a pretty nifty product. It textures ground well, giving your flat surface little bumps and ridges. The brown itself looks great plain (I left it as is on my terrain pieces); it looks a bit wet when dry, so if you arent going for a muddy/semi-wet appearance, it is a good idea to do a light coat over the top. The amount that comes in the jar should be enough to get many minis based. While the jar might look full when it first arrives, there is likely a large air pocket in the middle; by the time everything settles, its about 3/4 full (I noticed this with Vallejos other Ground Texture Grey Sand). Even with that, it doesnt take much to cover a surface. It took maybe 1.5 loaded brushes to cover a piece of terrain 20 cm x 7 cm, and only one coat to get it to the point that I wanted. I would definitely recommend!

> 3 dayThis product is amazing. I use it to add texture to the bases of my miniatures. Just slap it on and let it dry over night. Then I apply some shade and give it a drybrush. Finish off with sind static grass and tufts and it gives a wonderful and easy to do base. I will definitely order this again when its empty and maybe some other products of this line.

> 3 dayIt works like a charm, you can just add it onto a base and after a few minutes your ready to go. I suggest that if you want more textures you can use a thin layer of pva glue (Elmer’s glue) and add sand or tiny rocks before you cover it with the paint.

Greater than one weekThis comes in a 4-6 oz jar, quite a lot for those of you used to little bottles of paint. It’s very uniform in color, so you need to add dot of dark brown and stir slightly to make it look more varied like actual mud or dirt. It dries almost matte, and looks great, the texture is like paint with very fine sand. You could find all kinds of uses for this - just realizing if you mixed it with gray paint it would look just like the non-skid on an aircraft carrier deck. Get some and use your imagination - you won’t regret it!

Greater than one weekLove the product and the paint itself is fantastic. The issue I had was my tub showed up it was very expanded and had actually popped the safety seal off a bit an made a small mess on the lid. Wasnt bad enough to send back or anything just annoying to clean. Think its important to note I live 2500ft above sea lvl and it can get 120 in summer so stuff like this seems possible to blame on my location and not the product but Ive seen a few others with same issue.

> 3 dayWorks excellent, I started using the GW equivalent but this stuff in my opinion is easier to work with. Based some models with it, added mud to 15mm scale vehicles and even used on some 15mm scenery where sand might have looked out of place. Excellent buy, great for modelling or scenery.
