> 3 dayThe reason I got this mount was because the power connection is on the side. Which allowed me to attach the mount to my windshield as far up to the headliner as I could (well, actually the rearview mirror) The standard mounts cable connection is on the top. So I would not be able to mount it flush with the bottom of the rearview mirror (2017 Highlander) Only problem is that its a real pain to remove the camera from the mount. If you want to take the camera out of the car. The design is not the greatest and you end up pulling the mount off the windshield. Other then that, it works fine

Greater than one weekI do like this mount but should come with the camera rather than being a separate purchase. Some quirks though that I had to knock a star off for. First is it can be tricky to remove the dashcam from this mount. There is a release tab that should let it slide off but takes a lot of manipulation to get it to finally break free. Second may be related to the geometry of my vehicles windshield but the cable for the rear camera that plugs into the top of the camera is put into a stressed position due to the short distance between the camera and the glass. The cable has to make are hard 90° angle right after the plug because its come in contact with the windshield. While I like the stable mounting offered by using the adhesive strip, Id like to have a suction cup option as well. It could add just enough clearance to make up for the cable strain issue above while also making it possible to relocate the camera in those rare occasions its needed. I know thats a double edged sword since they tend to start legging go after time but having it as an extra options would be helpful.

> 3 dayIf you want GPS coordinates to appear with the time/date stamp for your recordings, then you must get this mount. But even if you dont, it is soooooo worth the price. The suction cup mount receives the power cable at the top, which may not be convenient, since you have to mount the camera lower. This mount receives the power cable on its right side, much better. Also, suction cup mounts tend to fall off when the cars interior reaches 90+ degrees F (which it will very quickly in the Summer, even here in New England) whereas this has 3M double sided tape, and it is a very powerful adhesive. It will not be removed easily and will put up a fight if you try to take it out. A razor blade and solvent help with that, and the mount does come with one extra adhesive pad in case you need to move the mount.

> 3 dayIt sticks on really well, no issues. I even mounted it to the black sun dots on the windshield around the rearview mirror.

> 3 dayThe suction holder that came with the dash cam was not very good at staying on. So I got this with GPS. Only the dash cam stopped working after 1 week. On top of this breaking as well. Poor design.

Greater than one weekBought this as an addon for my N4, the original suction cup never budged so I never had a issue. Was abit afraid since this is just a adhesive and in TX it regularily gets very hot. In a situation youd worry it would fling off. But so far its not budged since I applied it and no issues with attaching to N4 using GPS.
