Vera Bradley Womens Cotton Weekender Travel Bag

Was looking for an attractive carry-on bag with a contrasting inner lining. This was as close as I could find that met that criteria. I chose Vera Bradley as I have had a number of V.B. bags over the last 20 years and have always been happy with each one, no matter the style or fabric choice. This bag will be useful for travel with its roomy interior and detachable shoulder strap, along with shorter handles. But I am so disappointed with the outer fabric as the design has a faded appearance. This pattern does not have the bright colors all of my other V.B. bags have had. This pattern is pretty enough but it is dull and drab even though the pattern is complicated and busy. I compared this fabric to another V.B. bag that is several years old and this newer bag appears to have been washed repeatedly and the colors dim and worn. It seems the company has cut costs in materials now and unless the new fabrics are better quality and have the former brightness I will not feel the higher cost of these bags worth paying anymore.

I did so much research before purchasing this bag to use as my personal item for my flight. First of all a personal item is not a carry-on, I use a small carry-on size suitcase for that purpose. This is what I use as my “purse” and it measures perfectly for compliance to fit under the seat in front of you on a flight. And it holds just about everything! I also love the sleeve that fits over the handle of my carry-on suitcase.

I love Vera Bradley products. This bag has a great pattern (bright and beautifully). It holds a great deal of clothing (or other items). It is a great overnight/short trip bag!

Used it for a 3 week road trip ( along with a small piece of luggage). Cant wait to use it for airplane travel ( perfect size for carry on). Already bought 2 matching smaller bags for cosmetics and face care products. LOVE it from a very picky buyer.

I’m not a Vera fan and have never owned any of her merchandise. I bought this as I knew that despite her ‘bold’ designs, Vera Bradley does provide a quality item and I needed a tote for a quick trip. This tote is great. It’s well made, lots of pockets inside and out, heavy zippers, thick yet light, holds a LOT - more than my previous similar tote of a different name brand. The mesh pockets inside are made so they hold what you put in them, they don’t hang agape like I have seen others do. I’m very happy with my purchase!

Love it very nice

This is a great size for a couple of days of travel. The color pictured was a very dark navy, it is not it is a light blue but very pretty.

This is 1st Vera Bradley purchase. I was looking for a nice type of tote bag to use for travel with my carryon suit case and I think it’s going to be a great choice. It’s the perfect size and has pockets on the inside and outside. Also it has a nice shoulder strap and straps that I think will fit nice on my suitcase. I gave it a 4 because just one smaller pocket wasn’t sewn across the bottom but there are other pockets so that’s okay. It was a great deal and I look forward to trying it out this week on vacation.

Perfect for a carry on bag when flying. As always with Vera Bradley articles the quality and features are top notch.
