> 24 hourThe Hepa filters fit nice and snug but the prefilter is folded in the box. One is folded in half and the other 2 are folded in quarters so the prefilter does not sit flat when installed. This may cause air to leak around the sides rather than all go through the prefilter to the Hepa filters.

> 24 hourI have previously bought and used the VEVA replacement air filter pack for HPA300. That was the first time I purchased the product and it worked as expected with no problems. I decided to buy the product again in mid April 21 and the HEPA filters I received was of poor quality. Soon after installing the new filters and powering on the unit the entire room was filled with chemical fumes. I remember reading reviews with users describing odors and off gassing for a few days so it wasnt a complete surprise even though my previous purchase did not have this problem. I moved the air filter unit from my bedroom to another unused room and let it run for 8 hours a day for the next 3 days and the odor did not diminish in strength significantly. I then started the return process and chose to obtain a replacement instead of refund. The first thing I noticed was that the replacement air filters were not properly boxed for shipping and arrived in a thin, gray plastic bag. There was some damage to the box resulting in a small dent in one of the sides of the HEPA filters, but the product could still be used. The source of the replacement is the same warehouse so I immediately assume that it would not be any better since it was likely to have been made in the same batch as what I had just returned. As expected, the replacement set of filters had the same strong chemical odor so I proceeded to try to off gas them for a while in the same unused room. 24-27 days of 4-8 hours of daily use later, and the chemical odor is still present at about ~25% of the original strength. Im just a few days past the return period so Amazon wont let me initiate a return anymore. Thats on me because I should have returned the replacement weeks ago but kept on letting the unit run and off gas hoping that it would improve if I gave it a just a few more days. Im just very disappointed that such a highly rated and reviewed product could fail such a basic check of quality control. The item I bought designed to improve the air quality ended up tainting the air it was suppose to improve so I will not be buying VEVA brand air filters again for my HPA300 in the future.

> 24 hourWe have a Honeywell HPA300 air purifier, which takes 3 HEPA filters (replace yearly) and 1 pre-filter (replace quarterly). The pre-filters that we USED to purchase came in a one-size-fits-all box, with a template for measuring and cutting the giant sheet of activated carbon to the size needed. Needless to say, cutting them was a very messy job (carbon black spilling everywhere), and the results of the cutting job rarely fit the purifier very well. I was often forced to secure the filter into the air purifier with duct tape. But NOW.... The kit that we purchased from VEVA contained 3 HEPA filters, and 4 precisely cut pre-filters: one years worth, in a single order! Everything fit perfectly right out of the box, and the remaining 3 activated carbon pre-filters came packed in a zip-lock bag to keep them fresh until needed. All in all, a GREAT product! The topper: a couple of weeks after my purchase, I got a very nice email from the nice folks at VEVA, just making sure I was happy with my purchase. And I was - very nice people. Jackie, thanks so much for the check-up. Everything is working just fine, and we WILL be re-ordering from you! *** UPDATE *** Just ordered our second set of VEVA filters. We just finished an extensive remodeling of our bathroom, and went through pre-filters like Kleenex during the process. Now that it’s over, I wanted to treat our air cleaner to a new set of filters. Something new from Amazon this time around: ONE DAY SHIPPING. How can you beat these great filters that come in one day?

> 24 hourReplaced all three filters in my HPA300 unit. HEPA Fit was a little tight compared to the Honeywell original equipment. This causes some slight buckling which I don’t see as a problem. Prefilter is thicker than the cut-to-fit replacements from Honeywell, maybe slightly less thicker than the original prefilter that came with the unit. I included a picture of the prefilter against outside lighting so you could get an idea of the transparency of it (filter density). The prefilter that I have been getting from seller U.S.prefilter on the bay are a bit thicker but you have to cut them which is a real pain. This is a decent value and the HEPA filters appear to be legit. One thing I noticed is the airflow seems a bit noisier than Honeywell replacements I have used previously (as if to say they are more restrictive). This kit is what Honeywell should be selling - not sure why they aren’t (get with the program folks). I will likely buy these again when the time comes.

> 24 hourThe three HEPA filters were easy to install. No issues with the fit. I had seen a few reviews that said they were not the correct fit. I did not have this experience. It took me a total of about 2 - 3 minutes to remove and install the filters.

> 24 hourRead the disclaimer carefully! Veva filters do not clean the air the way Honeywell HEPA filters do. And, there are other problems. We have several Honeywell air filters in our house that have worked beautifully. Every year, we replace the filters prior to fire season to deal with the smoke. This year we tried the Veva replacement filters that we purchased last August. After replacing the old HEPA filters and turning on our Honeywells, the Veva filters filled the air with a noxious, chemical-smelling stink. We opened all the doors and windows, hoping the smell would abate. After running the filters for a very long time, it still smelled just awful. We finally gave up, turned off our Honeywells, and now were waiting for a delivery of real HEPA filters. If you read the Veva disclaimer carefully, it basically tells you that their filters do not function the way Honeywell filters do. Veva filters are made to look similar, but they are not as dense and they do not fit as snugly -- they dont filter the air as Honeywell HEPA filters do. Worse yet, they fill the air with a noxious odor -- something the disclaimer fails to mention.
