> 24 hourWeve had one of these for at least a decade, when it stopped working I purchased another one (turns out all it needed was a new battery, these things are built to last!) There is only one difference I can see between the new and old; on the old one the part that goes in the mouth is blue and flexible. The new it is stiff and white. I love the green, yellow, and red warning lights and that it takes the temperature fairly quickly. Its also not super loud. These are trusty thermometers and the only ones Ill purchase.

> 24 hourI am writing a review on this item even though it arrived DOA and it did not work. It is nonreturnable and I called Amazon and customer service told me to trash it and they gave us full credit. For that I give it and Amazon a thumbs up! It was not a battery issue by the way, it just did not work. I am recommending this thermometer though because we have 4 of them and they work flawlessly if you replace the batteries when needed. We like the bright light that comes on when your temp has been taken and some of them make a loud enough beep to hear unlike others. There are 2 kinds; one traditional and one that gives you an almost readout. One is flexible and one is traditionally rigid, so you have a lot of options to choose from. I for one never buy anything that is not returnable since I refuse to allow any business to sell me something that does not work and then will not take it back. That is a licence to steal from the consumer. It worked out well for us, although I had to call someone in central America to get my refund but they took care of it and that was impressive.

> 24 hourThis model is very accurate. Prior to purchasing this we used a touchless forehead model that consistently gave inaccurate results. This one is accurate AND fast.

> 24 hourWe like this thermometer so much that when my husband broke the one wed had for years (pulled the metal tip off trying to clean it, definitely his fault not manufacturing), he insisted i find the exact same one and buy it. Never thought wed have strong feelings about a thermometer but here we are lol

> 24 hourWe have 4 of these scattered around our house as we use often (child has a condition). They are slightly off each other (usually by 0.1-0.3 degrees, but some times as much as 1.0, which is annoying) but generally consistent for each device (so we have numbered ours and try to stick to using one). Super easy for our child to use and easy to see readings and we can turn back on to see last reading of child doesn’t report it to us. They don’t seem to work as well once battery replaced - mind you, that could be an issue with the replacement battery which we haven’t tested yet. For the price and ease of use for a child, we’ll stick with these.

> 24 hourWe had an earlier version of this Vicks thermometer, which was not good, but this current model is much improved. It is easy to use and read. Reasonably priced.

> 24 hourI had an issue with my Walgreens thermometer: was showing me often that Im borderline hypothermic 35F, and then was here and there. So I got on on Amazon that one had 13K reviews: Thermometer for Adults, Oral Thermometer for Fever, Medical Thermometer with Fever Alert, Memory Recall, C/F Switchable, Rectum Armpit Reading Thermom, that one was all over the place also, including hypothermia. I didnt feel like Im 35/37, but had such readings when I had walking pneumonia a few years back, so that was a concern. Got another Walgreens as a control one. This one too was showing me hypothermia and then various other readings. All three were giving also different readings at the same time. I did a little research and learnt that all thermomethers follow the same standard, so there shouldnt be differences, its a simple device after all. Obviously not! and when you really need! to know you might not. The same article rated the highest for oral ones this Vic thermometer. I got it, its spot on when compared with medical-grade thermometers and consistent, I dont have daily hypothermia lol. Its also very quick, plus a great design. It doesnt bend, you cant Bluetooth it to your phone or music app, whatever, it works for and all for just $10.

> 24 hourThis is a quick, nice thermometer that has a big, attractive display and is easy to use. It deserves credit for being a good product all around. The biggest complaint I have about it is that it reads too quickly to get an accurate reading. I even warm the tip in my hand or under some warm tap water first to prep it. Still, I can take my temperature three times in a row and it wont come out the same ever. Itll be close though. I wanted precision and accuracy, however-- not just good enough. Well, its just good enough. Itll tell you have a fever, more or less.
