> 24 hourI had an 8 year old view sonic and the fan blew so it was shutting down. I use it in my cabin to watch movies. The brightness is shockingly better than my old one. This is a bargain projector but there is a lot of value and it functions very well. I use to have to wait until dark to use it, but I can now use it in a dim room.

> 24 hourOverall, a great projector for the price. I would say you will not find better for under $400. Would be five stars, but have started to have issues with the lamp flickering. Have not reached 2,000 hours of use yet, so according to Viewsonics own website, there should be about 3,000 hours left. I emailed Viewsonic and they wouldnt acknowledge this fact. Simply said bulbs can go at any time and sent me a link to buy a new bulb at $150. Pretty terrible response. I wont be buying a new bulb since at that point Im almost halfway to a new projector. I will likely upgrade once the bulb actually dies. A little tip, if your bulb starts to flicker crank the brightness up for a bit. Ive been able to get the flicker to go away by doing this, but eventually it comes back. Im assuming at some point it wont work, but might help to extend the life a bit. UPDATE: Bulb flickering is officially beyond annoying. At about 1,950 hours and two years since purchase. Simply unacceptable for the bulb to last only 2,000 hours. Viewsonic says it will last 5,000, up to 15,000 with eco mode. Not a snowballs chance youre getting those numbers out of it. Buyer beware.

> 24 hourEasy to set up and operate. Plug in a streaming player and youre ready to go. Nice and bright display and quiet operation. The external audio jack is great to plug in a bass amp for big sound.

> 24 hourWe bought it for outdoor movies, and it works well on out 10 ft. Screen. Only used it a handful of times now, but am pleased with the purchase. Fairly bright, especially for the price point, and good picture. Sound is garbage, but we expected that and just use a portable speaker with and AUX cord.

> 24 hourGreat color and brightness, projection is clear with the lights on. The throw ratio could be better, make sure you have enough distance between the projector and the screen if youre looking for a big projection.
