We formatted the drive but it didnt need it. All the games and then some were able to be transferred from the PS4 to this drive and allow for more games and less congestion at the station.

I was starting to think that I was never going to see an easy to use external hard drive for my PS4 in my lifetime. And then this little beauty came along. No joke, it took maybe 2 minutes to plug in and set up (and I feel like I’m being generous by about a minute and 30 seconds on that). Now it’s just there! If I have a game on the hard drive it on the PS4 the machine just knows and seamlessly moves back and forth. This is one product you should not hesitate to buy.
