Exceeds expectations. I bought the 2tb version. The disk benchmark is actually higher than advertised. Granted, I have a pretty powerful processor, but I certainly wasnt expecting it to go over or even reach the advertised write speed. Also, this was on sale for 30% off when I bought it at $190. Extremely good value.

Its really fast and boot time is crazy fast. I am a developer with minimal gaming here and there. Overall, it gets the job done in absolutely no time.

According to my PS5 the read speed on this drive is 4,750mb/s. Which is slower than advertised, and slower than the recommended speed for the PS5. It wasnt to bad to install. I only have like 8 games and it is already over half full.

My SSD keeps unmounting and sometimes fails to boot. How do I apply for refund/warranty coverage?

I purchased this to clone my current OS running on a SATA interface SSD drive installed in a Dell Optiplex 7050 small form factor PC. The Dell has a single M.2 NVME interface on the motherboard which is worlds faster than the SATA interface. I installed this WD Black NVME to an NVME-to-USB adapter and then used Macrium Reflect to hot clone my current OS to this new drive. After about 15 minutes, the drive was ready. Powered off the Dell, installed the NVME drive and unplugged the SATA SSD and booted into the BIOS/UEFI to verify settings. After checking things there I let it boot normally. Windows came up FAST and drive speed tests indicate it was maxing out the speed capable for PCIe 3.0, ~ 2,000 MB/s. The difference between the previous SSD drive and this new WD Black NVME is like night and day. Everything runs much snappier and my game load times have been noticeably reduced.

Works great on my PS5, haven’t had any problems with it, at first I was hesitant to get this since the mbs is slightly lower that the PS5 recommended, but I gave it a try & everything is playing with no problems! If you want this M.2 for your ps5, go for it!!

I bought this to upgrade an older System76 laptop. The drive itself is great, but I want to share some tips with my fellow community.

Get ready to game even faster with the WD_BLACK SN770 NVMe SSD. Zoom past load times and get into the action now with a purpose-built gaming drive that boasts up to 40% faster performance and up to 20% more power efficiency at maximum speed over the previous generation(3) (1TB model), plus a PCIe Gen4 interface(4) that delivers blazing speeds of up to 5,150MB/s(1) (1TB and 2TB models). (1)Based on read speed. 1 MB/s = 1 million bytes per second. Based on internal testing; performance may vary depending upon host device, usage conditions, drive capacity, and other factors. (3)Up to 40% faster and up to 20% better power efficiency at maximum speed as compared to our last gen product, the 1TB WD_BLACK SN750 SE SSD. (4)PCIe Gen4 storage technology requires a compatible motherboard. WD_BLACK SN770 is backwards-compatible with PCIe Gen3.
