This drive is very fast, opening things on my PC open very quickly. I do some gaming and a lot of my in game load times are only a few seconds, compared to more than half a minute on my previous SSD drive. Installation was very straightforward and pretty easy. I have the model with the heatsink, so I wasnt able to use the heatsink on my motherboard, which is fine. My bios recognized the drive fine and Windows installation was very smooth. If you are looking for a fast internal drive, I would highly recommend this one.

I joined the PS5 Beta program and wanted to extend the m.2 SSD Storage in the console. I took the risk of trying this drive after reading their measurements and speed specifications and this drive seemed to match them all. I went with 500GB just due to price/risk. I think its safe to go ahead and try the 1TB version if youre serious. Im glad WD comes through again with a solid product for gamers.

Benchmarked the 2TB WD SN850X NVMe drive against my 2TB Seagate Firecuda and my 1TB Samsung 980 Pro. All drives were tested in the #1 (the x4) NVMe slot of my mobo. These drives are all PCIe gen 4.

Other than the lack of screws, a solid purchase.
