I bought this product in preparation for Horizon Forbiden West, because I was in need of free space. It works perfectly. This is a must buy accessory for your ps5!

I was excited to get this new memory for my PS5 and add storage space to it, but for whatever reason, from day one, I had problems with it. The PS5 read it and formatted it from the get go like it should, but then when Id try to transfer games from the internal drive to the WD, the system would shut down without warning. I rebuilt the system, cleared the cache, reformatted the SN850X and it would still continue to shut my console off without warning. I found I could leave a game downloading from online and it would install it, but when Id go to play it, again, the system would abruptly shut down. Im not saying I wouldnt recommend this, since I feel maybe I got a defective drive. Ive been using the Samsung 980 Pro with heatsink and have not a single issue with it. Ive even transferred multiple games at the same time to it from the console without any problems. Maybe it was just my luck that I got a bad drive from WD?

I debated on spending the money on this SSD for my PS5. I am so glad I did. I purchased the 1tb version with heatsink at $189. Easy install (2 minutes). Formatted very quickly (seconds). Games install/migrate to it very quickly. Now I can keep MANY more games on my PS5 instead of reinstalling ones I only play once in a while. Highly recommended for anyone on the fence.

I bought this just to save $30 on buying a Samsung drive and when it arrived it was running slow and would not save any files on it. Every time I tried to download steam games on it, it would say corrupt disk every time. I reformatted it, tried everything I could. WD requested me to send it back but I just returned it to Amazon and ordered a Samsung drive.

I bought this for my brothers ps5 he loves it . Very easy to install and makes loading the games faster

Bought this for my PS five to add an extra terabyte, just be careful when you pop off the SSD slot screws ,they are very tiny and prone to stripping , Other than that installation took five minutes

Came in perfect condition, havent been able to run it yet since Im picking up ram soon. Im building a Nuc9i7QNX for a MC server. I needed to remove the built in heat-sink bar (only 2 screws) on the Nuc, it barely fits but considering just removing the bars, which would mean sawing through the plastic ig. I use a WD Black ssd in my main pc and its worked great for a 2 years so far. Definitely recommend getting one if youre able.
