This Memory card is as critical as the PS5 if you have more than 10 games in your library. I was constantly deleting games to make room for more after I got the PS5 Plus subscription. Now, I have 20+ games in memory and still have over 1 T Byte left. I used the SN850X NVMe as my primary memory device and it feels faster than the PS5 built in SSD.

The drive is extremely fast. The heatsink does keep it cool. My only complaint is why cant anyone include a dang screw, whether its the computer mfg or the ssd mfg someone please include a screw!

This WD Black SN850 m.2 SSD is the fastest SSD I have used in my system. The software from WD is streamlined and easy to use when cloning data from my old SSD to this one. The write speeds are as advertised and I had no issues at all with the drive. When doing stress test, I did notice this drive heats up which is not really a negative because stress test are not a reflection of real world usage. I just wanted to see if it ran hotter than my 970 Pro, which it did when I stressed tested the drive. Overall, this is the best SSD I have used to date and I highly recommend it.

I watched a couple videos of people installing this no the ps5 and then did it. It seemed easy enough to install. The ps5 recognized it but couldnt format it. I ended up returning it.

I bought this just to save $30 on buying a Samsung drive and when it arrived it was running slow and would not save any files on it. Every time I tried to download steam games on it, it would say corrupt disk every time. I reformatted it, tried everything I could. WD requested me to send it back but I just returned it to Amazon and ordered a Samsung drive.

Install took about 7 minutes. Tripled my storage space, so now download size is an afterthought.

Installed easily, just remove the cover, unscrew the memory cover, adjust the riser, plug in, and reverse (screw down and put back cover). PS5 detected it and formatted. My USB WD-Black external drive needed stoped working at some point shortly thereafter, so not sure if it was related but a PS5 DB rebuild resolved it. Great product overall!

Excellent card super fast perfect for gaming etc.
