I researched what I wanted first. I decided on the WD_BLACK 2TB SN850 NVMe for additional storage. The install was easy.. I simply followed the step by step instructions that were on the Sony PlayStation website. Now I have a total of 3 TBs for PS5 games. Couldn’t be happier.

As many of you know the PS5 HD fills up pretty quick after a few games so I decided to get this, It was super easy to install (just watch the instructions on SONY website), pretty cheap due to Prime Day deal, and now I’ve pretty much doubled my storage!! Just make sure you get the heat sink version and you should be fine, I haven’t noticed any major difference while using it but I will update if anything changes

My WD SN850 was OK, for three months, then it failed. When I tried to file a warranty claim, the page crashed when I tried to enter the SN. Turns out my SSDs serial number was not in the WD database (seriously?).. I had to upload a copy my proof of purchase - my receipt, and a picture of the dead SSD showing the serial number. Along with a description of the failure (it causes Windows 11 to crash when I try to write large amounts of data). So now that WD tech support has everything they need to process my warranty, did they do that? No they respond We have entered your serial number into the database they said to please file a warranty claim and provide proof of purchase, only the link they referenced doesnt work and still doesnt work (see picture). The warranty process seems to be designed to make you give up out of frustration. I feel like I have been ripped off for $100 and will never buy a WD product again..

November gekauft, Januar eingebaut als Systemplatte. X670e mit Ryzen7950x, Custom Wakü für CPU und Graka. Alles super, aber PC stürzte ab und zu lang unvermittelt ohne Bluescreen ab (Win 11).

Worked right away, have no issues storing my PS5 games on there and playing the games right off the SSD. Got it for Christmas and never had any issues. Great price too!
