Just got a new PS5, had to port games over from PS4, plus add in a couple PS5 titles. The PS5 obviously filled up rather fast, these days one COD was well over 100 GB.... Once I realized I need more memory I started looking at options. Basically with the PS5, with a firmware update, you can. Easily install internal sticks or external drives. The external drives are fine, but cannot play PS5 games directly, you need to always move your PS5 games to the main system drive to play it. I didnt see a point in upgrading the system if its such a hassle. Then, that is when I found out that PlayStation finally upgraded the firmware to allow the internal sticks and if you get a MV.2 with fast enough speeds you can play your games directly from it. So I did research, checked videos, this one comes with the heat sink, has extremely fast speeds, and a solid sale price. Between best buy and Amazon, it was $269.99-$279.99. I bought it at best buy for the $279.99, with a trade in of all my old PS4 stuff. I didnt really pay anything for it, but if someone was looking, buy one now because I doubt the price will stay that low. If it goes any lower Id say this is a must buy for PS5. Installed less then 10 minutes, was downloading a 1.5 TB library in no time. Formatted right away. This is almost meant for the PS5. Load Speeds seem just as fast if not faster to the stock drive. Id highly recommend a 2 TB + card to hopefully future proof your PS5. I will also look into them for gaming PCs. I really like the quality!

Fitted to the playstation five very easy, pretty much plug and play. Price was a bit higher than Id like to have paided, but works great.

Gen4 m.2 ssds run hot. This particular one idles at 59-61c on a 28c ambient room, peaked at 83c under crystaldiskmark. All this is inside a Geeek C2 case with no case fans. My gen3 Kingston a2000 runs 20c cooler (39c/57c) under the same exact scenario.

Hard drive is good and fast.

Installed this in my wifes pc with some ram and got a nice fps increase on most games.

No problems. Easy to install - only took about 10 minutes. Plenty of videos on YouTube to show you how to install. Works as advertised. I notice no difference in system speed.

Bought for my ps5 day I got one finally.. both arrived installed into it, took maybe 3 mins quick and easy.. install all games on it and runs them with no issues.. great ps5 internal memory drive would buy again if I get another ps5
