> 24 hourI kept going back and forth with myself for months on which one to get, this weatherman or a cheaper brand with similar good reviews. I guess I’ll never be able to truly compare the two as this umbrella has gone through several winter storms without a blink. I live in SLC and occasionally we get fierce gusts and sideways sleet. The reflective band on this umbrella helps drivers see me in the early mornings/ night time. I am 6ft and I carry a duffel bag to work so the width of this umbrella compact is excellent coverage. It fits in my bag just fine and the opening mechanism is very convenient. This umbrella is very easy to close no little bits to press in, the ribbing works very smoothly to close and snaps close to the base. The handle is nice and wide with a smooth button to open. I really love the sturdy cord loop on the handle very easy to use carabiner clip onto my bag for in and out of shops and things. This umbrella was worth it’s price and I am glad to have a trusty device like this one.

> 24 hourSince I received this umbrella, there has been no rain to truly test it out in, so this review is merely on its physical traits. First thing to mention about this umbrella (the collapsible) is that it is big (not compact/ultra portable) AND heavy.. you will definitely NOT be storing this in your pockets, but HOPEFULLY that translates to sturdy and trustworthy during a rainstorm and more importantly not flip inside out (fingers crossed)! I was a little nervous seeing others had issues with theirs not opening or having other defects (as mine shipped from Canada and the reviews did not appear favorable for their customer service), but so far mine doesnt appear to be affected.. of course the ultimate test during use is still to come. This is definitely not an umbrella you would throw in your bag for casual or daily carrying/casual use if needed.. their smallest umbrella (the travel) may be a better option for casual carrying (according to their website its over half a pound lighter, but still almost a foot tall). Another negative: this only has one button for automatic opening, it is a manual close. Perhaps the biggest negative of all? The price. Why would I spend so much on an umbrella? Lets just say my hopes and expectations are high! Some positives I can mention: the handle is semi curved in your hand, which should resist/counteract the forces of wind pushing you. It also comes in a nice selection of colors. And lastly, it has a vented canopy. Would I buy it again? Eh, Im on the fence with that one, 50/50. I wanted an umbrella mainly to leave in the car for downpours and for that reason I will be keeping it.

> 24 hourThis thing is designed the way anyone with common sense would improve upon the typical umbrella. The Weatherman took the time to do it. If you want very lightweight, get their smallest model. My fiancé prefers their smaller compact umbrella. I like the full size compact and have a full size non-collapsible one I leave in the car.
