The install slot was hidden under its anodized aluminum cooling block and as this was my first build in about 6 years, there have been MANY changes to hardware (everything has changed! lol!) and install methods since then.

They all lack screws, I know I know. So rather than picking at people complaining about it, complain with them and maybe the grinches might give us a lousy screw for their product to be used quicker and easier... Not my beef though, I found a screw that fitted (2 hours later). The read speeds in Linux Mint 20 and Debian 10.9 are a bit erratic. Ive seen it hit fairly close to the specs which I know are lower than others in the PCIe 3 department but it rarely holds them, its done a few runs barely breaking 1000MB/s which I expect on small files but I got this moving a 12GB movie file. Im going to move it to the 2nd M.2 slot at some point and replace with with a different brand, since its running about as well as the 2nd slot will run once the 1st ones occupied. A bit disappointed but its working ok for now. Oh, it wouldnt boot but reading other reviews that doesnt bother me too much. My SSD has the bootloader on it anyway.

Once installed (which is easy, I just needed to remove a screw, put it in, and screw it down), this is so much faster than my old HDD. Computer boots in seconds and it works very well. Very good for its price. The storage is also very good, 500gb works especially since I already had an extra 1TB HDD as storage

Loved it!! I had a micron 250gb nvme ssd which came pre-installed with my lenevo y540 and i was thinking of replacing it with a new ssd because i was getting bsod errors with the pre-installed ssd and booting issues. So i bought this ssd and now everything is working perfectly fine. The boot time and read and write speed is excellent. If u want a good performing affordable m.2 nvme ssd go for this product and dont buy the 250gb variant instead buy the 500gb variant because this has more value for money.
