> 3 dayKaren Katz is our favorite author. My older daughter used to have the whole collection of these books. Now the little one loves this one as well! It was the first “real” book she fell in love with, at around 10 months.

> 3 dayMy 20 month son loves this books. Its great for helping to teach body parts and lift-the-flap books are always a hit. My only issues with the book are: 1. I wish it included more basic facial features (nose and ears); and 2. the large flaps go across the whole page and some open at the top, some at the bottom, which makes it harder for my young son to be able to open the flaps himself since its hard to tell which end to open.

> 3 dayTeaches body parts and allows toddlers to interact by lifting flaps to find the body parts. My one criticism would be that the flaps could be a little thicker to make them more durable for toddlers hands.

> 3 dayMy 15 month old really likes this book- the only downsides are that the flaps aren’t super easy for a baby to lift themselves, and I was a little disappointed that ears and nose were left out (trying to teach her body parts), but that may just be me being picky.

Greater than one weekYou can introduce this book as early as 9 months to your child. They may not get concept yet, but as you continue to read it they will. Because it clearly identifies each body part in a way they can learn the information. It also can start to teach them how to turn pages because it has thick pages which they can transfer that skill to regular books. It is also a great book I have used for students with special needs. Students with special needs are usually able to identify body parts or point to body parts after reviewing the book as many times as they need too. The book is very short so they can usually keep their focus for the shortbread book. Once again the book identifies body parts in a way they can understand even if they are non-verbal they often can respond by pointing to their body parts. And once again let them turn the pages when they are able to because it is considered a fine motor skill to turn pages. These pages are thick which helps to turn page.
