Very disappointed that the incorrect product was sent. I was sent the original Star Realms instead of Colony Wars.

Product works as expected

Loved the original Star Realms so this was a must have. As you could guess by the name, this set is base heavy, and after mixing the two together, found it very balanced.. though the deck was quite large.

Great game. Well worth it’s value. This is the go to game at my house if we want to fit in a quick game. We ended up getting the base game and all the expansions.

I had never been a fan of card games. I always saw people play them but never interested me, until now! I was introduced to Star Realms by a friend a few weeks ago. I enjoyed it so much, that I became instantly addicting. The gameplay is simple, yet thrilling as every game played is different. I ordered the new set and love it! All the cards are unique and no repeats from the original deck.

Some of the cards help round out the factions, but overall the entire set tends to be way overpowered (too many low cost cards that do lots of damage) and takes away the strategy of building faction synergy. You just buy the best cards and play with luck. Adding in events and the extra draws and buying power really can give some one-sided advantages. I only included a few cards from this set into my trade deck. The B&B and F&F sets already added enough variety to one main deck. I felt like this set took the fun out of the original set. I might modify some of the cost values and then try to play with them to be more consistent with the original deck.

Its a decent expansion for the game. The idea was to take the original cards, and modify the values to give them more damage, rather than more buy. It also gave cards more synergy with colors, so its highly encouraged to build only one or two colors instead of multiples. You can play this game without knowing the original, but it is much preferred to start out with it, and see which one you like more. Personally, the original is better, due to the greater variety and styles of decks available to be built on-the-fly, and the crazy combos available in the late game. Technically, this version of the game is far more balanced, but thats not what I look forward to with a short burst of fun with friends. Still a great game never the less, but the original stands stronger in my opinion.

Fast paced, simple, and COMPACT deck building game. I love Dominion and Clank! but this game definitely has a niche.
