Whiteside Router Bits 2292 Chamfer Bit with 45-Degree 7/16-Inch Cutting Length

For me Whiteside is the go to router bit company.

The small diameter is an advantage for the job I needed it for and it worked great. I like the thicker bearing for a smoother guiding.

I have owned other brands of router bits but Whiteside bits are the best I have used. I use this chamfer bit to make miter joints and the 45 deg. angle is dead on accurate.

As a total rook when it comes to woodworking, I’ve quickly realized that spending money on high end bits can quickly improve your confidence and more importantly improve your end result. From Freud saw blades and forstner bits to now Whiteside router bits, I’m saving myself tons of time and getting pro looking stuff. Incredibly sharp, well packaged and the chamfered look is even better than I’d hoped. Definitely buying more Whiteside bits soon.

I chamfered many edges of hickory, walnut, maple and sassafras with this bit, and it was impressive. I was able to maintain a good speed, even along end grain, to have zero burning and zero tearout. I have not had to pay attention to the grain orientation either while using this bit. This is the primary bit I keep in my trim router and I use frequently.

Retired an old chamfer bit and Im more than happy with this replacement. Chamfered 8 long edges on a 7 maple desk with a handheld router, and it moved through the wood effortlessly and left a finished edge behind.

Love the new bit and how accurate it is.
