WiOn 50050 Indoor WiFi Plug With 1 Grounded Outlet; White

I bought it to take back control of my TV. 2 things i dont like about it. 1. The override button, if the TV shuts off, they can just reach behind the TV & press the button. 2. Anyone can connect to it, so my kids all had the app and could control the TV. Kind of defeats the whole purpose of buying it. (Plus they would mess with whomever was watching TV)

This app works amazing no crashing. A bit tricky to set up but it’s so much better than the smart home app which constantly crashes

I bought this for the count down timer feature to turn on a recirculating hot water pump on demand, then have it go off automatically after 20 minutes. The count down timer feature on the app is lame. It must be programmed for start and stop times each time you use it. That will never happen. While the app lets you program for specific set times each day, that is not what I need for my application.

A bit too clunky in size but overall it does its job when I say alexa turn in kids plug it never fails

Ordered four different manufacture devices. By far the easiest to install. Instructions were 8 1/2 x 11 with clearer photos and logical steps to follow. Sadly the others required a magnifying glass to read. Some of the others had a more difficult timer setting. WiOn earns high praise for this product.

Works like a charm! Ive tried several RF switches and always had problems with them. This Wi-Fi enabled outlet works perfectly every time. The app runs on your smart phone. I only wish they had one for my laptop. Would recommend and would buy again.

Great item, but if you need to reset the 50050 unit here is how: While it is plugged in, hold down power button and unplug unit from outlet. Make sure you are continually holding the power button down. While holding button down, plug unit back into outlet and release button only after Blue WIFI light goes dark for a moment. Unit is now reset to factory status. It is a great unit for total control of anything plugged into it. I currently have several of the WION products and am totally happy with them and their customer service when needed! Any smart phone can control the unit anywhere!

What a product! What a convenience! I bought this and WiOn 50052 and 50049 and they have made my life Sooooo much easier. Im using 50052 for the lights on the front porch which is controlled from a switch inside the front door, use this for the living room and 50049 for outside lights which light up outside landscape. All controlled from one app on my iPhone. Although they are all scheduled and dont need me to mess with them every day, but I, often, override the schedule and change them as needed; from home or if Im miles away. As long as I have internet connection, which is almost anywhere, Im connected. Writing this review five months after purchase and very very happy with them. Highly recommended.

It has a bug. using the timer.. the App does not immediately display the fact that the switch is off. It only works if you restart the App. The software needs to be fixed. If they fix it.. itll work well.

I already had an outdoor Wion outlet, so it was a no-brainer to get these indoor models. Set up is so easy, and you can set a timer for the outlet. App is easy to use.
