This wireless HDMI transmitter and receiver is quite convenient. This has allowed me to get rid of all the HDMI cables that I would hook to my TV. I mainly used this to display my laptop to my TV. First time setting up the device is quite easy just plug and play. The device has which one will go to the computer and which one goes to the computer/monitor. This receiver requires a power source via USB which both my TV and Laptop had. This has allowed me to easily display my laptop in the living room, I no longer need to drag around all the long HDMI cables. This has made streaming and consuming media in my household more convenient and effective.

At first I thought this thing was junk. You see installation was quick and easy but when I went to mirror my phone. It was really slow. It kept on buffering alot. So I thought maybe it was my router. Sure enough when I reset my router it worked fine.

I had tried another kind of linkage device that requires a good network connection and it didnt work with my laptop at all. Thats what got me interested in this device, since it doesnt depend upon the network connection. It was almost like magic when very quickly, my working screen appeared on the large screen. The image quality was excellent and easy to operate. It does get warm while its working so I kept it in a clear area so air could circulate around the device. I did have to log into the network, but the signal itself doesnt require the network to carry it. Ill be trying this one in other circumstances to explore what it can really do.

We got this casting device to use a non-Samsung phone to cast to our Samsung TV. Set up was easy and documentation was good. Casing image is high-quality. I have a Samsung phone and I prefer this to Smart Share since it makes the videos and images on my phone full screen. *If you have a Google device (Pixel for example) be aware that Googles devices are only compatible with Chromecast so this will not work with your phone.

The device is easy to setup. Plug and play basically. The main problem I have with it, (and it could be the same with all these types of devices), is a SEVERE lag between my laptop and the TV. At one point, I thought it was frozen, but 2 minutes later it started showing the mouse cursor moving again, but severely lagged.

    1) Looses connection with display at will. Sometimes in a miute, sometimes in 4 hours. 2) More often just looses the sound, you can enjoy your video without it :) 3) Casting from 2 different smartphones to TV was awfull in quality, artifacts and delay, meanwhile from windows laptop was OK. p.s. wireless router is in 1 feet from TV and dungle, latop is in 4 feets

Comes with a micro-USB cable but no power supply. Wasnt an issue for me as we always seem to have a spare but keep it in mind. Also has a short HDMI cable which would allow the device to hide behind ones TV quite well. Additionally, there is an Audio / Video pigtail included. Pressing the big button in the center of the device switches it from Android / Windows mode to IOS / Mac mode. I tried it in the IOS mode and it mirrored my iPhone perfectly fine, no real lag that I could detect and my phone connected to it using the native screen mirroring in IOS. Be aware that it will not display the image for streaming apps, those will still play on my iPhone though. I switched to Android / Windows mode and gave my laptop a try. The image was laggy as others have noted, which is a shame because I think this device could really shine if it worked better there. One thing I though was interesting but havent been able to try (as I dont have a TV / monitor with these types of connections anymore but see pic) is the Audio / Video pigtail. Seems like it might be useful if one had an older TV which had this type of connection available?

Bought this for an iOS/MAC dominant household. For me it was very simple to set up with the instructions. Turns out the iOS/MAC devices readily see this on the network, by default. Looks to work well in that environment. Personally.....Im android only. Comparatively speaking, my phone never saw the device. Nor did I have the time to overcome the issue (maybe it was simple). But when you have one environment (iOS/MAC) recognizing the device immediately and another that doesnt ...... yeah, no, not 5*. Feel generous giving 4*.

Im a healthcare practitioner using a wall-mounted monitor and wireless keyboard and mouse that are across the room from the mini computer I use to access our server. I didnt want an HDMI cable strung along the wall. This device works flawlessly and is virtually unseen, having a small plug into the monitor. In my other treatment room, outfitted previously with a different setup, I used the Topbuy Wireless HDMI Transmitter and Receiver, also purchased on Amazon. It works flawlessly as well, however, its more expensive, juts out more from the monitor and computer, and requires you to push the button on the monitors receiver unit to make the initial connection. Thats no big deal, but this unit works just as well, connects immediately, and is two-thirds the price. Im actually glad I have two types, because I dont know if either would receive the others signal if they were identical and being used at the same time, but if youre just needing one, Id go with this one. Works immediately on startup, works well, has a smaller footprint, and is cheaper.
