It looks and works as described, except for the backpack style. Since there is no place to stop the strap moving between the two shoulders, it is nearly impossible to put it onto the back when the bag is not placed on a surface. The strap will just be instantly pulled all way to one side when put the first arm in, which makes it very difficult to put in the second arm. So I stop using it as a backpack but straightly as a tote or a messenger bag. Very good looking and waterproof. No regret.

Holds a small laptop and a few other things, but it is not large. Also does not have padding for a laptop. The shoulder strap converts to a backpack strap, but it just slides through the handles on the top and doesnt secure, so it moves around on the strap when you put it on or take it off. It is much better looking than a standard backpack, just wish the straps were more stationary. I am preparing to take a long trip, will update this review after traveling for two weeks with this convertible backpack.

I love my new Samsonite Convertible Slim Brief because it is practical, flexible, the material is of very good quality, it looks delicate, my laptop fits perfectly and I can carry my papers in it. Another thing is that I can use it for both formal and informal occasions, it is very beautiful, spacious and comfortable.

I like the size and its lightness. It’s roomy. I just don’t like the way it was packed. It was rolled, causing sine creases on the bag.

Unless you are certain this is exactly the style, fabric, weight, and durability you want, I would not recommend buying. This seller charges for any shipping/returns. The bag is a quality bag, but a bit heavier than expected and I was looking for something very light-weight. That said, it is made well, which is why it may be heavier than other backpacks of its kind.

I looked for days for the perfect carry on bag to travel on an upcoming trip. This bag is so awesome. You can carry it 3 different ways!!! it is very light weight, and looks professional. I like the gold hardwear too... The size is perfect to carry several essentials on the plane and will fit neatly under the seat in front of me. Thank You Samsonite!!

I love the extra compartments and that it’s sturdy. I carry heavy items at times and it holds up well.
