Great radio, but $40 lower at popular ham store…

The Radio came brand new in original box with all accessories the only thing is that price what is too high cause they usually sell for 89 dollars at buy two way radio and ham radio stores the only reason I bought it here is cause I had some Amazon gift card or els I would have bought somewhere els for a better price I even called yaesu and told them that they we’re selling this item way to expensive on Amazon they were going to look into that well other than that everything seems to work just fine I also did the Mars mod on it and it unlocked right away so I’m happy about that

Nice HT solid construction easy to use menus... It only comes with a condensed version of the manual. Need to download the full version “advanced user” manual from the Yaesu website to understand all the functions. The stock antenna is a solid performer. Radio seems very well built. Most problems are because it is such a new product in the Yaesu line. Not many accessories available yet, no CHIRP support yet as of 2/2018. No real YouTube tutorials yet. This is an awesome first radio for a new Tech or a nice glove-box rig for an experienced ham.

I have owned many HT ham radios and have always been partial to Yaesu. After doing weeks of research and reading many mixed reviews I decided to purchase the FT-65R. I am not disappointed at all. I don’t understand all the negative reviews, I love this radio, work’s great, sounds great, display is great, easy to program. It’s the best HT I’ve ever owned. I would pay twice as much and still be happy with this radio. Do not To listen to any negative reviews, buy it, you will not be sorry.

Works well

Unfortunately, I did not get to review the product. The transceiver was without it’s rapid charger, AC adapter, belt clip mounting screws, warranty card, and the Operating Manual. The seller: Electorpedia Store, lacked the quality control to review the product before shipping it out. In addition, as evidenced by the product box, this may have been a returned product but without the operating necessities.

great quality. built rugged. dropped it a few times and withstood the abuse. reception is good but improved with better antenna. voice quality is excellent. overall very happy with my first HT
