Works great. No smell after about 2 minutes of being on and has been working well since. I normally keep it on all day on the top of the tank on the mesh and it has not caused any damage.

Worked exactly as advertised from early December until early May. One day it just didnt get hot and never worked again. A new warming light bulb confirmed it is not the unit that it plugs in to that broke. Unless you need it for less than 5 months, be prepared to replace it a couple of times a year.

Heat lamp works well.

Great for my leakproof gecko tank, it gets the ambient temp to about 82 (I was hoping for a little warmer but the room is very cold during the winter, so it’s doing ok)

Updating to say the heater almost caught my floor on fire. I have since heard from several other people that have had very similar incidents. The heater is severally hot. My son had it dangling about an inch above the floor while he fed and cleaned out the cage and smoke was radiating off of my floor and left a huge burn mark. Be extra careful- if I had missed it for one more minute it would have started a fire. I ordered this mostly for the thermostat but it’s a cheap digital one so parts of the numbers don’t light up so you cant tell what the temperature really is. Not worth it. Spend a little more to get better quality

I use this for a bearded dragon and she loves to be under the heat when she needs it without the actual light. Functions as intended and must be handled carefully or you can burn your hands.

She loves this new “night lite” my sons room gets very cold and all she had was her heat rock! Now she is basking in the heat at night!!!! Happy dragon

It’s ok, but I don’t love it. It doesn’t give off much heat and there’s no way to adjust that.
