I got this for my Roborovski hamster because theyre desert dwellers, and I thought it would be perfect for her sand bath section. It does not have an open bottom, so it couldnt be the only hide in there (she needs a place to conduct her business), but its a fun enrichment that goes with the desert theme. I got the water bottle that matches, which also has a little hiding area in it, but both that and this cactus hide are too small for a Syrian hamster. Perhaps some of the other dwarf species could fit, but I think its really only appropriate for those tiny little Roborovskis.

We have 2 dwarf hamsters and they seem to like this little hideout. They both like to cuddle together in the main opening during the day. I also put timothy hay and other treats in the smaller hole which they seem to like also.

Got this ceramic hiding spot for our leopard gecko. It’s under her heat lamp so she can stay nice and toasty through the winter. Super easy to wipe out when it’s time to clean her tank. It’s her new favorite spot.

I ordered the Zhilishu Ceramic Hamster Hideout, Dwarf Hamster House with Double Doors Syrian Hamster Hut Hideout Habitat Decor, Anti Bite Hideaway House Cave for Mice Gerbil (White) because our gerbils have chewed through the one leg of their wooden house, so I thought this would be a nice alternative. I do wish the item itself indicated somehow that it was ceramic. When it arrived and there was no indication, I had to go back to the product page to confirm. We have two gerbils and they are white, so it will be interesting to see if they can easily hide from us in this new little house.
