I have been using these steam bags for years and just love them for quick cooking in microwave. Broccoli turns out great!

If you regularly eat meals with cooked vegetables, these bags are indispensable. Diced vegetables microwaved in these bags can be stored frozen until needed for a meal. Using different bags for each vegetable, it’s easy to whip up a hash, western omelet, poor man’s eggs, pasta dishes, salads, etc., in minutes by portioning out from the bags. The bags are reusable many times if intact and can be ziploc’d securely. Also great for reheating leftovers, preparing meat dishes and pasta.

These are great for fresh steamed veggies. We use it all the time, broccoli, corn on the cob, carrots, Brussels sprouts, green beans. So very easy, wash and prep the veggies, throw them in the bag, add a little bit of water and in the microwave they go. I especially love to use these to take my lunch to work. I’ll put raw veggies in it with my lunch, then at work, I add the water and microwave it then. I bring a bit of butter, and I’ve got fresh steamed veggies to go with my leftovers for lunch.

These bags are hard to find, (not sold in stores anymore) but they work really well. I use them to steam veggies quickly and to cook chicken breast meat. One 6-oz boneless piece with apprx 1 tablespoon water and some seasoning added (or a marinade), takes aprx 3 to 3-1/2 mins, on 50% power to get a tender result. (I dont recommend cooking chicken breasts on 100% power, they come out tough.) Also, I have tried some other brands of bags; they were very thin and the sealing band was terrible, they leak.

I use these bags all the time. It’s easy to gauge how long to steam per vegetable, because it is marked on the bag.

I love these steamer bags * was so glad to find them online at a decent price since they are no longer in our Houston stores.

I have used these for steaming my veggies for years and suddenly the grocery store or Target doesnt get them in stock anymore, so I got them on Amazon
