> 3 dayBypass this bulb and go right for the tube version!! The few dollars you save on this bulb isnt worth it. This bulb doesnt give off nearly enough quality UVB for most animals, especially bearded dragons! My bearded dragon went off feed and became severely dehydrated due to lack of UVB exposure while I was using this bulb. I switched to the tube and (after some nursing) he is doing well again.

> 3 dayThese bulbs are not sufficient as a UV bulb for a reptile, but I knew that when I bought them. I am using them to give some UV light to my mealworms to promote vitamin D production. I have no way of testing whether Im achieving my goals, but I have no complaints about the bulbs.

> 3 dayBulb works but NOT recommended for bearded dragons. Get a tube light (t5 10.0 HO- high output to avoid vet bills! (Just because its marketed for dragons, doesnt mean its good for them!)

> 3 dayIt broke only a week after we got it. It just doesn’t work in any of our lamps anymore, should’ve just gotten a bulb from pet smart.

20-11-2024This bulb is reasonable for a very small enclosure (5-15 gallon), where the bulb can be placed within 5-8 inches of the reptile allowing for direct exposure without any material (lid mesh, glass, etc) in an area where the reptile might frequently bask. Mine is connected to a flexible lamp arm that extends down into the enclosure, allowing for maximum UVB. Once the enclosure is upgraded to something larger as the reptile grows in size, its strongly recommended to go to a larger tube type light and fixture that will allow for a strong and even distribution of UVB light in the enclosure. However, this will suffice in the early stages as long as its properly distanced and used.
