This is a sturdy and functional umbrella. While compact, it is not the most compact. While open however, it provides more coverage than the uber tiny compact umbrellas, so its a worthwhile trade-off for me. The wind vents in the canopy are nice and help keep the umbrella from getting totally destroyed in windy conditions. The auto-open feature is nice. You just press the button and the umbrella shaft extends and the canopy expands and you are good to go. It even partially auto-closes... after its open, if you press the button again it partially collapses the umbrella canopy. The velvet carry bag that it comes in makes absolutely no sense, however. Overall...a great compact windproof umbrella!

New umbrella for the wifey. She likes it. Has a pretty inside with clouds and a blue sky, black rubberized fabric on the outside. Opens pretty smoothly, hopefully will last her a while.

Smaller than expected. As soon as I opened it it flipped inside out, in the slightest wind. Ill find a better one.

Well, if youre reading this review now and its not a fifteen dollar umbrella anymore, it was at the time of this review. But anyway, its a pretty durable little umbrella for what it costs. Its probably not going to outlive you or anything, but it seems like it will last long enough to get some good use out of it. But really, does any of that really matter? The main reason to get this umbrella is because of its most important feature. To be able to walk in the rain... WITH FLAMES OVER YOUR HEAD THAT YOU CANT PUT OUT!! YEEEAAAHHH! WOOOO! EXTREME TO THE MAX!

The umbrella broke during the first use. It would not collapse. Also, once the cover is taken off the umbrella, don’t plan to ever get it back on again.

…but the umbrellas are great.

This umbrella is large enough to keep you dry in the rain, yet folds down really small. This is great for carrying in a purse or backpack. The design is interesting and fun- having the beach pattern on the inside with a black exterior is the reverse of what is usually on an umbrella. My 12 year old daughter needed an umbrella to put in her school backpack. She and her friends think it’s awesome. The exterior material is thick and feels durable. The spokes are a little tight to get folded back in. I think with more use they will be easier to fold down all the way.

Ive only had the chance to use this once but it did a great job of keeping the rain off of me. It opens with the push of a button. It closes by pulling down the top. There is a strap to keep the excess material under control when not in use. It was very windy when I was using it and it did not invert.
