> 24 hourThey seem to have a 1G upload bug for WAN links. If you have Internet over 1G, use the MikroTik S+RJ10 for up to 10G bidirectional traffic on WAN.

> 24 hourWorks as ezpected, make sure you get a cat 6 or cat 7 cable with it as cat5 does not support 10 gig.

> 24 hourI bought these for use in a UDM Pro, TrendNet 2.5G switch, and 2G fiber service. These will not negotiate with a 2.5G switch properly and will result in reduced 1G speeds. If you need 2.5G from the UDM Pro to a switch, I suggest the Microtik S+RJ10 as I can confirm they can achieve 2G properly.

> 24 hourSeems to work well with my Brocade both at 10gbase-t and 1gbase-t. Sort of expectedly it does not work with my (picky) intel x710-da2 in my pfsense box and in fairness it does not list Intel as compatible, and its not a matching chipset that the Intel requires. I purchased this for my Brocade anyways so I would recommend it. It does seem to get pretty warm, but no temp alarms on the switch. I will update if I run into any trouble.

> 24 hourI have bought two of the 10g SFP with RJ-45 connections just about 5 months apart. I have no complaints about the use of them, they work as advertised. I noticed the packaging changed to a different color and design but all the information stayed the same. However if you are going to change the packaging you might want to correct the wrong information on it while you are at it. So in the chart it says interface is LC, these units are RJ-45 interface.

> 24 hourI tried using this adapter to make a connection between a Ubiquiti 10G SFP+ port and an Ubiquiti 2.5G RJ-45 port and it it could not make a data connection. (I tried this with an Enterprise 8 POE and an Enterprise 24 POE, in both directions and no neither worked.) However a pair of these were able to create a 10G connection between the SFP+ ports on the two switches. Also, these modules get *extremely* hot — too hot to touch — when plugged in (even when the RJ-45 is empty). I’m worried that might not be good for my switch… EDIT: It appears this limitation is based on the Unifi devices (specifically, their 10G SFP+ ports cannot run at 2.5G) rather than this module.

> 24 hourThese solved the Pause Frame Issue with Mikrotik Routers. Link up at 10gb, and handle the 1gbit af5xhd backhaul radio. No more Pause Frames

> 24 hourNot sure if other people tested these SFPs carefully but the RX and TX do not run at 1gig duplex speeds. I connected this to my WAN with a Cat8 cable to my router and although my download was hitting 930 my upload was hitting 30 out of 980. These are not suitable for ubiquity equipment even though it claims to work. I will probably just throw it in the trash and purchase one straight from ubiquity.
