> 24 hourI dont use my Thinkpad P50 as much since getting a new job with a more powerful/modern laptop, but its still around for some consulting work and occasional use in my workshop. I wanted to have a spare adapter in the workshop for the times I want to use the bigger screen and my software load on this system over there. It does what it says it does, keeps the p50 going with 64GB RAM and an extra SSD, and I have no complaints.

> 24 hourSomehow our Thinkpad chargers keep being left behind so this one came handy. Works as intended, but is a big brick.

> 24 hourThis replacement AC adapter for Lenovo laptops performed just as well as the original Lenovo AC adapter. Ive had issues with other AC adapters in the past that caused my laptop to make various distracting buzzing noises and caused me to be concerned about possible damage to my laptop. This AC adapter worked perfectly and quietly. The ONLY difference that I can observe was that the original 170W Lenovo AC adapter was a bit thinner and lighter. Im happy with this AC adapter and will continue to use it in my home office setup.

> 24 hourThis beefy power supply works great with my computer as a second power supply for home. It has decent cables that are long enough to be useful. It feels well made. I have had absolutely no problems with compatibility or performance. It is a nice replacement power supply at a good price. I’m pleased with it.

> 24 hourEquivalent to the Lenovo charger recommended for my P15 ThinkPad. Provides me with an extra charger for travel so I dont have to disconnect the one that I use with my port replicator at home. Fits and works just like the Lenovo OEM version.

> 24 hourThis ThinkPad AC charger is just like the one that originally comes with the ThinkPad. It functions like the original in every way. This would be good to purchase as a spare charger.

> 24 hourI have worked from home since the pandemic. Recently, I have had to go into the office to take care of some changes. I brought my laptop but it was such a pain to unplug the power cord and untangle it from behind my desk. One of the times I forgot to pack up my power cord to bring it back home. I live about 45 miles from work. Buying this power supply was a lifesaver. No more crawling under the desk to get a cord.

> 24 hourWhen you are getting a new laptop charger it is expected that they work right out of the box, and this one does that. This is a Lenovo Rectangle yellow tip charger, a VERY common newer standard, used on most recent Lenovo laptops, monitors and even all in one computers. This charger is 170W which means it will be able to give the juice to almost anything out there, even the most demanding all in one computer or gaming laptop. It will basically run anything that needs a lenovo rectangle yellow tip jack even the most powerful computer or docking station. Having an extra charger is really good. You can keep one in the main place you use your laptop and keep your original in the laptop bag so you don’t have to wrap it up when you need to go mobile. I keep one plugged in by the sofa in the living room, where I sit and surf while watching TV, but my original one is in my laptop bag…. It is always better to get a charger that is designed for your laptop. Those universal chargers are a bad idea, they can put out different voltages and can harm your computer, also the interchangeable tips have a lot of issues. When you buy a charger there are three things you need to look for. 1. Tip, make sure the tip is exactly the side and length you want. 2. Make sure the voltage is exactly correct. If you laptop wants 19V then feed it 19V, more or less could cause damage. 3. Make sure the watts are more than enough. If your laptop calls for 65W it is OK and actually better to feed it more watts. It will only feed your laptops what it can handle. The main drawback to a charger with more watts is that it is bigger and heavier. If you get a charger that is smaller it will charge slower and may not even charge at all. Most gaming laptops need much more power than standard chargers and this 170W AC charger is enough to charge 99% of all Lenovo rectangle tip laptops out there.
