Exactly what I needed for an older jump starter battery pack. Charges as fast as the original cable did.

Well, after reading a lot of the reviews, I bought one. Heres what I can tell you. The socket end is the polarized type with one narrow input and one wide input. The plug, on the other hand is of the older non-polarized type - both prongs of the same width. See the pics of what I received. The item IS NOT one foot long. The wire itself is 16 inches. Add the socket end + plug end and it becomes about 21 inches long (nearly two feet!?!) Again, see the pic of the one I received against a measure. And finally, the female end is stamped for 10 Amp service, NOT 12 Amp as described. The two pics are the same item, just laid out on two different surfaces. Three star because item works fine but... ...inaccurate length and amperage description, AND having a polarized socket but NOT a polarized plug end (WTH?).

Spendy, but the only short 2-prong extender I could find. Works just fine.

When you only need an extra few inches of cord, these save so much hassle.

Purchased this to use an extension for a coffee maker with incredibly short cord. Worked perfectly.

Our Roku power wall wart stuck out behind the TV and we couldnt move the TV flat against the wall. I used this small cord to allow us to move up against the wall.

Just need a little bit longer cord for something. This short cord fit the bill to a tee.

I received my cord today in the mail. It works just fine! The maximum length of my cord from end to end (plug to plug) measured exactly 13.25. Close enough in my opinion. As others have mentioned, the polarization of the plugs are inconsistent. In fact, the very description does indicate that the female end is polarized but male end is not. Dont even ask me why theyve decided to do this, but it is what it is. I knew this fact up front, so again, no stars taken off for it. Heres a simple tip for those who are disgruntled over the polarization issue. What I have done was simply taken my multimeter and set it to the audible continuity test setting. Insert one prong of your multimeter into either slot of the female end and touch the other prong to either individual male plug ends. If it beeps or doesnt beep, you know which is which. Simply take a Sharpie, tape or a sticker and somehow identify which end corresponds to the skinny or wide polarized plugs. Voila! This isnt rocket science. Youll then keep your polarization consistent throughout your chain of house wiring, extension cord and whatever you have plugged into the end of it. Simple! I gave it a five star rating for the fact that the cord is advertised properly and by the fact that the cord seems to be of a decent quality, regardless of the polarization hiccup that I knew of in advance. If you need a simple ungrounded AC patch cord, Id recommend this.

My TV cord was about a foot too short to plug into the outlet and I didnt want to have six feet or more or cord just hanging or lying around on the floor. This cord was the perfect length and made thing look neat!
