I have been searching for a way to plug a polarized plug into a non-polarized receiver on Christmas lights. The receiver on this cord will accept the polarized plug and the plug on this cord is non-polarized. I bought this because it was short and the cord on my Angel topper on my tree was too short to reach the tree light plug. When I saw that it would work for my other issue I bought another one to connect outside lights where one plug was polarized and outlet was not. Solved my problem.

Normal plugs do not fit into this. Needed it for my standard two prong TV wire and its no good.

I need just a few extra inches to be able to plug a 4 foot LED ceiling fixture into a ceiling mounted outlet. This does the job. It seems to be well made, and the connection is tight so Im not worried about it coming unplugges.
