> 3 dayI needed a short cord instead of one of the big ones, and this works perfectly. Make sure you buy the one with the polarized end that you need, as there are two different types that are sold.

> 3 dayVery nice quality, quite heavy duty. I was actually looking for something a bit lighter weight but for most applications this is better: heavy duty and great quality

> 3 dayMy Bluetooth receiver was powered by a big wall-wart that just wouldnt fit behind my stereo cabinet; so this one foot extension was just perfect.

> 3 dayPurchased this to use an extension for a coffee maker with incredibly short cord. Worked perfectly.

> 3 dayI used this to plug a brick (charger) into an outlet that also has inbuilt USB jacks that would have been blocked by the brick. (At left in picture.) Since this thing moves the brick a few inches away, problem solved without the bulk of a surge suppressor/power strip or full-length extension cord. (This is in a location where whatever I used was going to sit visible and in the way on a countertop; there was nowhere to tuck extra cord length etc. behind a desk or coiled on a floor.)

> 3 dayWell, after reading a lot of the reviews, I bought one. Heres what I can tell you. The socket end is the polarized type with one narrow input and one wide input. The plug, on the other hand is of the older non-polarized type - both prongs of the same width. See the pics of what I received. The item IS NOT one foot long. The wire itself is 16 inches. Add the socket end + plug end and it becomes about 21 inches long (nearly two feet!?!) Again, see the pic of the one I received against a measure. And finally, the female end is stamped for 10 Amp service, NOT 12 Amp as described. The two pics are the same item, just laid out on two different surfaces. Three star because item works fine but... ...inaccurate length and amperage description, AND having a polarized socket but NOT a polarized plug end (WTH?).

> 3 dayI need just a few extra inches to be able to plug a 4 foot LED ceiling fixture into a ceiling mounted outlet. This does the job. It seems to be well made, and the connection is tight so Im not worried about it coming unplugges.
