3M Hookit Disc Pad 05776, Easy Change Out, Medium Density Foam, 6 in

We are restoring the exterior of a log cabin and this disc pad works great with 3M sanding disc in 40 and 60 grit.

I guess. I figure they all are about the same. I bought it to use when my other wears out. They all do over time..

It was exactly as described however unfortunately the grinder I owned broke and I had to return the product.

Fits, works, installs a bit rough if not using the wrench that came with the DA.

I purchased this Hookit Disc Pad in addition to my Kawasaki variable speed buffer, as I wanted a quick and easy way to change out from using it as a buffer to going to a sander, polisher, etc. The price is somewhat high, but it is 3M and as always appears to be very well made. It uses standard velcro style backed pads (sandpaper, polishing pads, etc) and makes the changeover very quick. It also sits a bit higher than the standard pad on my buffer, which gives some extra clearance while going over the car or boat. It just helps to avoid those quick little bounces off the finish to really mess up your day! LOL. This is fairly universal from my understanding, so it should work with almost any buffer or sander that is not an random orbital unit.

Works great. Has not lost its bite. It’s been a few months. Just like new.

3m failed almost immediately. Griots 5in backplate works like a champ.
