> 3 dayWe just restored the gel-coat on a fiberglass 2-seat sailplane (glider) that is 34 years old. With 60 wings, there is quite a lot of surface area to go over. Using 1500 and 3000 Trizact followed by 3M rubbing compound, buffing and waxing we ended up with a gorgeous gleaming beauty that does not compare with the tired old glider we had before. 3M came up with a break-through product in Trizact.

> 3 dayThese sanding pads are the top of the line and priced to reflect. However, if you use them correctly, they make your polishing, compounding phase way easy and faster. Note, use only mist of water on pad and on surface. If surface is coated with a solid layer of water, you will simply keep hydroplaning and will not cut at all. If correct amount of water is used, then you will see super even surface after cutting...its pretty insane looking vs. hand sanding. I will be buying these expensive pads from now on because they are not expensive at all in terms of the labor and time and energy I save vs. with cheaper pads.

> 3 dayI completed my 1st paint job on a 2005 Mercedes SLK 350. I did all of my wet sanding using a Hutchins DA (No burn throughs thank god). I started with 3m Trizact 1500, 3m Trizact 3000, and Trizact 5000. I then came back with a buffer and Chemical Guys V36 & V38 compound. I will definately be ordering these again for any auto paint project in the future.

> 3 dayThese are the refills for the 3m kit to restore headlights. Owning an auto shop and buffing headlights being a challenge, you need the bulk pads to be able to get lots of practice on your own cars before you tackle customers cars. These will keep the headlight cleaning business thriving.

> 3 dayThese produce a super smooth finish sand surface, but Im not sure what thats worth. I use these in areas where I cannot use a wool pad for compounding because of risk of burn through. So I sand with these discs, and can compound with a medium cut foam pad. Other than that, I have yet to see a need for them. The steps it takes to get to this grit are just as many as if youd stop at 1500 grit and compound with a wool pad. Youre not really saving any time, and your finish doesnt look any better. That is, if youre doing it correctly with quality products.
