> 24 hourGot this kit to remove loose paint and rust on a steel square tube Wrought Iron style fence, mounted this first wire wheel on our Milwaukee cordless grinder and have been diligently stripping paint layer after paint layer along with spots of rush and some slag on our welds from installation. These wire wheels are truly heavy duty and very reasonably priced. Ive ground for hours now and the first wheel is still going strong!

> 24 hourThese wire wheels are pretty hard to mess up. After just a few seconds in my 4 1/2 in it took the rust off an old piece of tube steel I had laying around, the old grease/dirt/rust buildup off an old 3/4 ton shock, and the paint off a 55 gal drum lid. I say that, however to be honest Im surprised I dont have any wires sticking out of me after looking at the wheel after the fact. A number of wires seem to of come loose and could be removed with minimal issue or force. They get the job done but I question the longevity.

> 24 hourOn par with the guys down at the harbor; a few cents cheaper. These are wear items and seem to stand up to abuse pretty well. I have been grinding the rust off the old work trucks. I like the slight cant of the bristles so it’s not quite a cup and I’m not quite a wheel. Seems to make it a little more maneuverable in tight spaces with odd shapes.

> 24 hourThese have been instrumental in removing decades of caked on grime and paint from the 74 Beetle we are restoring. One thing we learned in using them was that when they start to un-knot themselves, they are still useful for light weld cleanup and surface clean-up, however they are not as effective at that point at rust removal and the like. Weve purchased a second set of these as we wore through our first set.

> 24 hourThe way these are made allows you to use them horizontal or vertical and because they use a heavier wire than on the wire wheels I have used. Cup wheels flair out, these maintain shape and regular wire wheels dont like side loading, these dont seem to mind and work well doing it. So far I havent seen any shedding of wire from the bristles but that dont mean it wont happen. Wear your eye protection and gloves.

> 24 hourHeavy duty wire wheel for heavy paint and rust removal. Instead of single wires which can fly off when brushing these heads have many twisted wires which holds them together and lets you really get after the rust. They screw onto the threaded shaft of the grinder. If your grinder has a guard around the wheel make sure it can accept a 4 1/2 wide attachment. These are rated up to 12,500 RPM but I cant imagine anyone needing to run them that fast. They clean surfaces pretty aggressively.
