> 24 hourThis is a plug and play device, very lightweight, and smaller than expected which is good - takes up less space. I really like it because its small and functions as advertised. I got this because I dont have many USB ports on my work computer to be able to hook up various external devices. This allows me to do so. Highly recommended.

> 24 hourI specifically chose this particular USB 3 hub due to the 3 cable it has. Other hubs have very short cables, which makes them difficult to use with desktop PCs. This longer cable allows me to plug it in to be desktop PC and position the hub in a convenient spot on my desk. It just works and gets the job done perfectly. All ports negotiate at USB 3 speeds.

> 24 hourIt didn’t work In my car at all and only one usb slot works out of the 4 which completely negates the use of having this. I am unable to return it even though I just received it today. Very frustrating!

> 24 hourI ordered the version with the 40 cord for use on my office desk as I ran out of convenient front or side panel USB 3 ports on a tower CPU and laptops. - I did achieve (within error of margin) USB 3 transfer speeds with this, under ideal conditions (no simultaneous use with other ports). - This did charge my phone when I plugged it in (not advertised as being able to do this). - This could handle the power needed for an external SSD to function (using an all in one power & data cord). - Four different flash drives plugged into this at same time were all accessible as separate drives (in a Windows 10 environment) - One thing to watch out for is heat. As tested with 4 thumb drives plugged into this, I did access all drive data to verify functionality, but then left all drives unaccessed/idle as I typed up my review. Upon removing the thumb drives 20 minutes later, all were abnormally warm. I tested again using only one drive and one port. Same result. When plugging any of these drives into my computer or laptop USB port directly, none would even get warm unless I was actively accessing or writing data to them. This is unusual. This is pretty light weight, which initially annoyed me when it wanted to flip on its side, depending on what I plugged into it. It is now velcro’d in place, so problem solved. So far it works reliably, but the heat issue bothers me.

> 24 hourThis does exactly what I needed it for....needing more USB ports for my Mac Mini. This is great and has a short cord, which is perfect. No external power needed and that makes it better for me so that I dont have more cords. Recommend this for someone who is needing it for their computer.

> 24 hourPros: has 4 ports. Works immediately, USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 all works fine Cons: the housing has corners not rounded. It wont hurt but perhaps better if rounded smoothly.. For the value I think it is quite useful. Immediately I have added 3 more ports (as It still takes up one of my existing port). It works well without any installation. Just plug and play. I like it and would recommend.

> 24 hourFrom reading the comments others have left, there seems to be some confusion about whether this can power USB devices or if its only for data transfer. Some USB hubs have a separate power supply that plugs into an AC wall outlet so it can be used to power the hub and be used for fast recharging. This USB hub does not have an outboard power supply and relies only on the power from the USB outlet that it is plugged into. But that does not mean it cant be used to power other USB devices. It can. But not as strongly or quickly as hubs with separate power supplies. It does fast data transfer well. The build quality is just OK, not excellent as it is very light, almost entirely made of thin plastic and does not have a solid feel to it. But for the price, its a decent buy and gets the job done.

> 24 hourA USB port expander has become a pretty common accessory to keep in your laptop bag, especially with the slow disappearance of ports, so for $8 theres really no argument. The Sanzang unit is small, very lightweight, and works perfectly. I just think it could possibly have been made maybe 25% smaller if all the space on one end hadnt been devoted to a blue LED. But admittedly I may be splitting hairs....
