> 3 dayNeeded a USP extender for some peripheral items for a laptop that only had 2 USB ports. The side by side ports on the laptop are so close it was often difficult to plug in 2 USBs at the same time. This extender works great with enough spacing and orientation of the slots to allow for different sized USB devices to be used at the same time.

Greater than one week4-Port USB Hub by SANZANG -- USB 3.0 Hub, 5Gbps USB Splitter, USB Port Expander with 6-inch cable. This 4-port USB hub works perfectly -- it instantly turns one unused USB port into 4, giving me 3 additional USB ports. It’s light (made of plastic) but seems to be well-constructed and is by no means flimsy in my opinion. No, it probably will not work after you roll over it with a truck, but if that is a problem, good luck finding one that will. This hub has only a 6-inch cable, which might be an issue for some, but not for me. It sits neatly along side my laptop where I can easily reach it to plug and unplug my flash drives and other devices at will. If you prefer, there is a newer version of this item with a 40-inch cable for about $2 more. The Amazon description reads that “charging is not supported” but I’m not sure what that means because I am able to charge all the rechargeable devices that I tried … smartphone, flashlights, etc. You can plug this hub into any USB port, to expand the number of available ports, but you can also use it with a wall adapter to charge up to 4 devices at once with a single adapter. I highly recommend this USB hub – it works, it’s very portable, and it is inexpensive.

> 3 dayI plugged it into my pc and plugged in my flash drive with MP4’s on it. Transferred from the flash drive to my desktop, fast! Then I checked the vid for quality, just like the original, transfer was perfect. Only data, not for charging, but that’s ok with me. This guy is a great value for the price, and it’s nicely made. Please read all the pertinent data on the page. The photos are accurate and yield more information.

> 3 daySo considering that this is made in China, I would not trust it for any sensitive information pass through, but for my intended purposes it is a great buy. I plan on using this in my RV as a splitter for the built in DC system to allow for multiple devices charging from the workstation where there is only a single USB port currently. Testing here at home went well and everything charged as expected across the ports.

06-06-2025I used this for the back of my television, so I didnt want a long cable hanging around, this short cable is perfect, it plugs into the tc USB, and gives me 4 more, and the cable isnt hanging all over the place.

> 3 dayI just needed a USB expander -- it didnt need to special, it just needed to work, and this one does that. So far every gaget I have plugged in works. It keeps my speaker charged, USB memory sticks work just fine, my USB dvd player that I have rare occasion to use works. Mouse, and keyboard work. So Im happy.

> 3 dayI have another 4 Port USB Hub that I find invaluable and when I saw this one with the longer cable I ordered it. The other 4 Port USB 3.0 Hub is branded PHIXERO, but they are both made by the same manufacturer, Shenzhen Orico Technologies Co., Ltd. from China. USB Hub, PHIXERO 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub Multi USB Port Expander, Fast Data Transfer USB Splitter for Laptop, Compatible with All USB Port Device The sellers’ listing ads for both hubs states that their hub is not meant for charging purposes, but I thought I’d try it anyway. I was able to simultaneously run a 5” USB powered fan on Low, charge my earbuds, my phone and a rechargeable portable vacuum. The vacuum drew the most and when I unplugged it, I heard the fan speed increase. This “test” included some accommodations though, for example, I’m not charging any high draw items. I was pleased to learn that it does work for charging, but I can tell it is designed for data transfer, etc. That’s where it shines. This will work great with my Mac Mini which has no free USB ports. I especially like the longer cable. Also, I haven’t used for download/upload, photo or music transfer so I can’t speak to that. 5 Gbps is testable and I’d be surprised if it didn’t perform as expected. At the time of this writing, this 4 Port SANZANG USB Hub with a generous cable length of about a meter was retailing for $10.99, while the same manufacturer, but different branded 4 port USB hub by PHIXERO was retailing for $7.99, $3.00 cheaper. This little hub weighs almost nothing and I could see taking it on trips or when I’m camping. It is easy to use and includes a tiny, light blue LED indicator light. The 4 individual ports are backlit with the same light blue light, making fitment in the dark easier. If you are in the market for an affordable, light weight 4 Port USB 3.0 hub with 5 Gbps transfer rate, then this one should be on your short list, as it’s an excellent choice. Highly recommended 5 STARS!
