63 Brother Colors Embroidery Machine Thread

Fantastic color assortment and good quality thread! Just wish the spools were easier to get started and had precut notches to store them without unwinding.

Beautiful colors, and the stitching looks like satin. No breakage with my project today (first) on a Brother SE400. Very satisfied.

I highly recommend this product if you are just starting out learning to embroider with your brother embroidery machine. I was able to pull from the internet the brother thread guide so that I could easily cross the brother thread numbers to the color description of various embroidery file designs. My only problem encountered was finding the start of the thread to pull. Some of the spools were quite difficult and I ended up just cutting a thread piece to start (im sure It will give me problems later). I also wish the manufacture would label the spools itself with the thread number. Each spool has a number on the top of the spool that I had to remove in order to place it securely on my machine. The stickers dont stick well when you place them back on the spool so I ended up using a permanent marker to write the numbers on the base of the spool. THere is also no notched to secure the loose end of the thread once you use it. So I had to use tape to keep the thread from unraveling when storing it. That is my only reasoning for giving this four stars vice five.

So far, this has been an excellent item. I have not had any problems with any of the thread and it gives me all the colors I need for certain projects at my fingertips. I would buy this again and refer it to others.

Ordered this thread to use with my Brother PE770, and have been very pleased with it. It stitches beautifull, and the colors are a perfect match w/ Brother threads at a much better price. My only comlaint with this set is that it came with a lot of colors that I dont think I will ever have a use for (mainly the ones shown on the bottom 2 rows. I would much have preferred to be able to purchase individually so I could choose colors that I would get more use out of in my applique projects. But overall, a great buy.

The thread is not as strong as I thought it would be. It breaks a lot when Im sewing. And thats annoying when Im trying to embroidery.

This is a great set of colors at a price that almost seemed too good to believe. I use my embroidery machine pretty heavily, and these colors leave a beautiful shine to the finished product, with greater durability than the more expensive brands. The only downside is that they do not have a thread catch and the number is just a sticker on the top that must be removed, but these problems were easily remedied by cutting a notch in the bottom of the spool and placing the sticker on the inside. For the few people who were complaining about frequent breaks, I would suspect the culprit has to do with not using the proper bobbin thread. Many Brother machines, like my PE770, require 90 weight bobbin thread to run optimally, which is a little heavier than regular bobbin thread. Overall, this is a great starter set for new embroiderers, or to fill out your collection for those who frequently use their machine.
