AC/DC - LIVE : REMASTERED [Audio CD]

Im the kind of person who loves going to live concerts (Ive seen B.B. King, The Temptations Review w/ the Spinners and James Brown, and had a blast each time), and had I have been alive during the Bon Scott era, I wouldve sprung to see AC/DC live. However, live albums are hard for me to recommend. Sure, there are a handful of greats (The Stones Get Yer Ya-Yas Out!, the Allmans at Fillmore East, B.B. King at the Regal, Live! by Bob Marley & the Wailers, Bob Dylan at the Royal Albert Hall), for the most part you get note-for-note renditions of the groups hits. This record is no different. They spend the entire concert either making good songs bad (Thunderstruck, Back In Black, Highway to Hell - can you imagine this without Bon Scott?) or bad songs worse (Heatseeker, Who Made Who, The Jack). And stay even further away from the two-discs collectors edition, which contians endless, jammed out versions of Jailbreak, High Voltage and Let There Be Rock that say absolutely nothing, even though each one is extended to over ten minutes. The Bon Scott studio albums and Back In Black are all essentials, but if you must an AC/DC live album, go with If You Want Blood, which was merely forgettable instead of bad.

If you love AC/DC like me, Its a must buy.

Great CD and it was what I wanted. Glad I purchased it feels like you are right there watching them.

My all time favorite AC/DC albums. In my top 5 albums of all time. I had to buy it again, because my original from when I was a teenager had been used and abused to the point of needing to be replaced.

AC/DC Live is an okay live album that while containing most of their classics suffers from extensive overdubbing and isnt completely representative of their best work. The performances also lack the fire of their first live album, If You Want Blood, Youve Got It.

AC/DC has ALWAYS been my favorite band and ALWAYS will be, BUT Brains voice(and i HATE writing this) has gotten to the point i cant listen to it anymore, i just bought it to complete my collection
