AC/DC - LIVE : REMASTERED [Audio CD]

There was once a time when I did not accept Brian Johnson as the new Ac/Dc frontman. I grew up listening to Bon Scott, the fact that someone replaced him and that people actually liked this man displeased me. I couldnt believe they actually put this man on the same level as Bon. I just heard Back in Black and For Those About to Rock and I still wasnt used to this new vocalist. THen, one day I saw AC/DC Live(the 2 disc) and thought:maybe I should check it out, after all, it is AC/DC. It happened to be one of the greatest decisions I ever made. After hearing Johnson sing all of those Bon classics, I could tell he meant it from the very depth of his soul, unlike some frontmen (Sammy Hagar singing Dave songs, for example). I am proud to say that this man is the perfect man to replace the late Bon Scott and that if anybody else says different I will fight them for it. I definitely recommend this to anyone with even the slightest hint of interest in this album. I still say that AC/DCs first live album, If you Want Blood, is still better, but this one is right up there.

A strong live record, though it probably draws a bit too much from the Brian Johnson era (or, to say it better, not enough from the Bon Scott era. This album is offers up a strong contrast with AC/DCs first live album, If You Want Blood, Youve Got It, and its clear that the transition from gritty, dirty, barroom rock n roll to a more grandiose, occasionally less bluesy style, has been completed. While my preference lies with the former, Im not one to argue that theres only one proper AC/DC, and this is a nice offering of mostly later material.

My all time band,stated was a 2 disc but download to phone didnt get all the songs, still very pleased with the songs I got

the ac/dc remasters are out in force with this remaster of the 1992 double live cd it has all of the songs from the standard 2cd release but you do not get one of the angus dollar bill or the big doule sided poster that came with the standard release but you do get a 16 page booklet describing the time around when the album was released such as pictures of backstage passes and other memorabia from that concert.

I have to echo the sentiments of another reviewer. This is a good disc for those who are NOT huge fans of the band. 14 of the bet ACDC Songs are on this puppy including my three favorites(Whole Lotta Rosie, You Shook Me All Night Long and Highway To Hell) all in a row. Almost all the songs are heavy and hard and Brian Johnsons vocals are oh so screetchy. So under normal circumstances, this recording would probably get three stars. However, to distinguish it as on of the better releases by ACDC, Im nudging it up a notch.
