> 24 hourI bought this as an upgrade from an ancient 22 Dell monitor. Installing the base was simple and it came with the power cable, an HDMI cable, and VGA+Audio cables. I like the matte finish on the screen to reduce glare and it looks very nice overall. Once hooked up using the provided HDMI cable, the picture wasnt the best. The colors were washed out and scrolling webpages seemed to produce a ghosting effect. I found out through another review here that this was because of the overdrive feature. After I turned that off, the ghosting stopped. I also turned off the black boost and the color quality seemed to improve. The built-in speakers are about useless though. At max volume, I can barely hear any sound and it is very high-pitched. Also, be careful changing settings because some of them (Like the blue light filter) like to turn overdrive back on without telling you. Overall, Im pretty happy with my purchase. I got a really nice monitor without spending a fortune.

> 24 hourHaving played on a TV for the longest time I felt it was necessary to buy a monitor as I do enjoy playing console. I bought this as a black friday deal for around $90. It is a 60hz monitor with 1ms response time. Right away I noticed an improvement in my gameplay as the response from my controller to the monitor was significantly faster than if I were playing on a TV. The reason I say this is a monitor for causal gamers is because professionals would not use a monitor like this. They use 144hz monitors and have technologies I can’t even describe. But if you enjoy playing games like COD, BF1 or any shooter on console, I’d highly recommend this monitor.

> 24 hourI bout this display for $104.99 on Prime Day, but am now returning it. I only tested it for a few hours, but that was enough to make me certain that I dont want it. There are two big issues with this display. First, Im not entirely sure why, but my eyes hurt and I start to get a headache after using this screen for about half an hour. When I noticed my eyes starting to hurt, I turned it off for a few, and then when my eyes recovered I attempted to remedy the situation by adjusting the color, contrast, and brightness settings on the display. This unfortunately did not resolve the issue. I also tested the game out with a few games, and noticed considerable flicker behind images that I have never seen before. Ive used a 32-inch 1080p IPS TV and an old 22-inch 1440x900 TN display for the last several years, and never noticed this issue while playing games on either. You can also see minor amounts of flicker on webpages if you watch closely, but the flicker is much less noticeable here. It isnt enough to really bother anyone on web pages I think, but it certainly looked terrible in games. The speakers built into this monitor are also complete garbage. They arent very loud, even with the volume maxed, and you can hear significant distortion and echo while using the speakers. The displays menus are well laid out, the display itself looks nice, and it was easy to put together, but unfortunately these factors cant make up for the low-grade hardware used in the panels construction. ------------------Update--------------------- In response to the comments on this review, I thought I should leave some more detail. My brother purchased two of these display, so I can safely say that the one I received wasnt defective. After examining his, I noticed the same issues, and I could not adjust settings to resolve the issue. He is keeping both of this, however, whereas I returned mine for a full refund. It is possible that this display was just poorly suited for what I used it for. I planned to use the display mostly for work, but also to game on the side. I believe the eye strain actually came from reading text on the screen, and not so much from gaming. For games I tested the following and had these results. Shogun II: Total War = Horrible flickering, worse than I have ever seen before. Rome II: Total War = Moderate flickering Tomb Raider (2012) = No screen flicker/hardly noticeable. Fallout 4 = Moderate flicker Bioshock 2 Remastered = Minor flicker, minor enough to be ignored. I might also have been bothered by the flicker more than some, as the primary display I used before was IPS based and didnt have any flicker. My brother isnt plays different games than I do, and while I could see some flickering on the screen while watching him, it didnt bother him because his old display also had a certain amount of flicker. I probably would have kept it despite the flicker, even though it bothered me, but the eye strain was simply too much after a few hours and I knew it couldnt work for me. Your results may vary.

> 24 hourPrice is great for this decent monitor. Color is great; gaming is smooth. Only cons are that the audio is horrendous and monitor doesnt play netflix when connecting to a laptop via hdmi.

> 24 hourSo I picked this up to use with my ps4 slim and ps3. No 4k gaming or high end PC stuff but wanted to avoid the screen tear I get from my budget tv. I can say the 24in looks great and the response time is dead on. Came out of box clean and no dead pixcels after a few hours of play. Tomb Raider on PS4 shines and old fav bf3 on ps3 also impresses. For 120$ you cannot find a better deal, especially if your a casual gamer like me and just want to finally try a dedicated gaming monitor. Only major gripe is that the stand is almost impossible to latch to the monitor without feeling like your going to snap something. Also, its doesn’t tilt as much as the pictures portray. Aside from that, I would recommend this for sure. This also works fine with Microsoft 10 and any word processing. I use it for work purposes and text is easy to read. Kudos to shipping as I ordered on Sunday and it was delivered Monday by 7PM.

> 24 hourOrdered for my sons gaming setup. He wanted to go big and at 27 it is pretty huge compared to the 21 he was using previously. This is a nice look monitor with minimal bezel. This monitor worked great out of the box. No dead or floating pixels. This monitor does what it is supposed to do and at this price point it is a solid option.

> 24 hourI have had this monitor for two months now. I use it strictly for gaming. I play the new call of duty on it and that’s about it. I’ve played red dead redemption 2 on it a little as well. I bought this more for response time than picture quality since it is a TN. The picture is pretty good but you will need to adjust the settings a lot. There are several reviews on here that give in depth picture adjustments so check those out. I will say their brightness recommendations were not ideal for the FPS game I’ve been playing. So I turned my brightness up significantly to be able to see in certain maps. I use a headset so I can’t comment on the speakers. Overall I am very satisfied with the monitor.

> 24 hourI finally decided to purchase a gaming monitor. I spent about a months time reviewing monitors of different brands and specs, as I was looking for a 144hz / 1ms response time while still below the $350 price range, and this particular monitor was one of my 3 finalist. It is much easier on my eyes than my 4k tv was, and in all honesty I feel like a better gamer playing on it. The ONLY two complaints that i want other potential buyers to be aware of is that there is only 1 HDMI in port, and the stand is non-adjustable. To most the 1 port will not matter, and aftermarket mounts can easily solve the stand issue. I am VERY happy that I chose this as my first monitor!

> 24 hourThe stand/base on this thing is really unstable, wobbly. It looks cool but any time my table shakes, the monitor wobbles even after a lot of tightening and double checking. I finally had to gorilla tape it to stay in place. The picture is great. When switching the monitor source the front buttons menus are complicated and it doesnt auto switch how I would expect so i just end up unplugging it and plugging in different monitors to make it work well. kind of a pain. I like Samsung monitors better. You just cycle through the sources with the push of a button on Samsung. You dont have to navigate through three levels of menus to get to the source menu. Samsung and many other monitor bases are not this wobbly/unstable. I wish I had gotten something different but this was highly rated with 144hz frame rate for gaming on a lot of sites. Oh well, its the little things that become a big pain.
