> 3 dayLook no further for your next gaming monitor. After a 2month search and 6 purchases and returns from other brands I’ve found this beauty.

24-11-2024The black smearing on this monitor makes it unusable for gaming. It felt as if I wasn’t wearing my glasses and the ghosting was so bad I ended up with a headache. The trails left behind everything were so jarring and blurred the image. I tried every setting in the monitor and some helped, but none fixed the ghosting.

> 3 dayAmazing quality for gaming. I have zero complaints. Picture and refresh rate are on par for my personal taste. I haven’t noticed any issues. HDR runs amazing as well.

> 3 dayI got a lemon. Im sure I was just unlucky, as every product has a defect rate. But my screen just randomly goes black for about 2 seconds every so often. Sometimes it does it in rapid succession, and sometimes I can go a few hours without it happening.

Greater than one weekI hate coming on here and leaving reviews, but when something is an obvious winner or just a disgrace, I do. This monitor is a disgrace. It works sporadically. Doesnt want to come out of sleep at all. I have unplugged, plugged, tried different cables, went from display port to hdmi and vice versa. My spare monitor shows screen right away, hell I dont even have drivers for that monitor and it works. I refuse to dyck around with a monitor especially a $500.00 monitor. Which I paid on cyber Monday, now they want $1300 for this POS. Im sending it back.

> 3 dayI’ve had this monitor for a few days now and I have been really impressed with it. I had just bought a flat samsung 34” VA ultrawide (SJ55W) from Costco that I was having issues with and ended up returning for this and the difference has been night and day better with the Acer. The option to turn on Gsync does show and when I turn it on it looks to be working fine with no flickering. I’ve already put in a few hours playing Rocket League and THPS 1+2 and the experience has been smooth with no issues. Both of those games run around 144hz in 3440x1440 pretty easily with the 1070 and they really show how vibrant the colors on this VA panel can be. I’ve tweaked the color profile on this monitor a few times and recommend doing so to get it to your liking, depending on the settings you can have a drastically looking image from what the factory settings are. There are a couple of good comments here in the Amazon reviews with good color settings. Also, this monitor is very bright and the colors and brightness are balanced evenly throughout the monitor even in the corners. Currently I have the monitor set to about 60% brightness and that’s fine for me. The experience I have described so far has been with my Windows PC, I’ve also been using it with my Macbook Pro 15” for software dev work and it has been working great with it as well. The text is nice and legible and the viewing angles are geeat, the only thing that takes some getting used to is the curve since it’s definitely pretty curved. Another reviewer mentioned they didn’t think the curve was 1500R, but to me it sure does seem like it. Any more curved would be overkill imo. The only options I was given for refesh rate on the mac was 60hz, 75hz and 100hz. By default it was set on 100hz for the mac, but I did notice what I believed was flickering maybe every 5 minutes. Once I switched the mac down to 75hz the issue was gone. Not sure if that’s a mac issue or if it’s because it’s connected to the HDMI input. I have my windows machine connected to the display port with the provided cable and have not noticed the same issue. The inputs are detected pretty quickly and it switches between the two without issue. The on screen display has a lot of options and is pretty easy to use with the joystick, the only thing I noticed is if you want to manually switch inputs you do have to click like 3-4 options to accomplish this, instead of just a quick side to side input switch like other monitors. I have this monitor mounted on top of two other 27” Dell IPS HDR displays and the colors and brightness are definitely comparable. The only thing where the IPS shines is that text is a bit crisper, but even that is just marginally better. For a VA panel I am really impressed with the crispness of this display. The box that this monitor came in was pretty massive, albeit a pretty basic looking box. Inside there was just the styrofoam holders for the monitor which seemed pretty protective and then it also came with a hdmi and DisplayPort cable. The power cable for this is just a straight cable with no brick which is nice. The stand is pretty decent as well, I’m not using the stand at all since I have this monitor mounted, but the stand looks nice and sturdy and I don’t think it would have any issue with holding this monitor as the monitor itself isn’t too heavy. I had been looking for the right 34” ultrawide monitor to buy at this price point and so far I’ve been happy with this, as long as I don’t run into any unforeseen issues *knocks on wood*, I’m definitely keeping this.

> 3 dayVery nice monitor. Looks fantastic. Definitely G-Sync compatible, even if the software says it’s not.

> 3 dayThis thing is great especially for the price. Mine arrived with no problems. Make sure you download the drivers and widget from the acer website so you can control the settings with the app instead of using the one little button.
