Bought this for my wife to do audio video processing and some light gaming. I upgraded it out of the box to 16gb of ram and added a 1tb nvme m.2 drive. It works perfect and can handle any video editing and even very modern game titles with ease. With right at $1000 invested it was a good deal.

It’s pretty fast and runs some games well. The storage is low and the battery life is bad.

After a month of use, I have identified one major drawback of this laptop - it is very noisy for a laptop (45 dB).

I bought the Acer Nitro 5 with the i5 10300H CPU and the RTX 3050. I upgraded to 16 GB of RAM and added a 1 TB internal SSD and the review is based on the computer after the upgrades.

I don’t know what could be possibly wrong with it or if I’m not doing something right . I just opened up this new laptop out of the box and it won’t turn on nor will it charge . Can anyone help me please ?

The unit arrived dead. Plugged in the AC adapter firmly, checked cords, (we had a second AC adapter of the same specs). Power lights never lit up and the unit would not turn on.

If youre looking for something that can play most modern AAA titles at medium or low, this is IT. Slap another 8gb of ram and some storage in this thing (under $140) and its an amazing budget laptop for the price! It also includes a free month of game pass and an upgrade to win 11. Its awesome. I love it!
