Greater than one weekIve played several games for hours on end on this thing pushing higher graphics than my old gaming pc no problem. Actually typing this review up on the laptop. I decided to take a gamble on this thing based on some of the reviews. If it had any problems, Id try to get it fixed. Well I havent had any issues. Excluding the typical no sound after a windows 10 update issue.

> 3 dayI was recommended this laptop by my gamer friend, but I usually don’t play games. However, I use programs that take a toll on regular computers. I’m glad I chose this! It’s really good for its price/ cheaper than I expected, and it’s beautiful!

> 3 dayFirst, if you order the HDD, they send you the part separate, not already installed. But that’s not the reason why I’m writing this review. The reason I’m writing now is because I’m about to call asurion for support for charging issues. Note that I got the charger and new battery in a month and it’s already failing to recharge. This is the SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED, but the first time it has to go back within a month of repair. This is a relatively new laptop too. It’s about 2 years old and shouldn’t be having these problems

> 3 dayIf youve owned a previous model of the Predator Helios, you will be happy to know that the charging port has moved to the back of the computer! This is a wonderful modification thats sure to please a lot of Acer fans.

> 3 dayThe laptop has great specs for its price and runs great. It may heat up a lot sometimes while gaming but after some research it appears to be normal. Overall I think that its a good option if youre interested in a gaming laptop.

> 3 dayRecently my Helios 300 blew up, so I ordered a new one since I love it and it didnt do me wrong. Ended up getting a Triton 300 this time. From my quick Google search it is mostly comparable to the Helios 300 with some minor advantages and disadvantages, but would have prefer the old model I expected =/

Greater than one weekOverall, this started out as an amazing product, however, within the first month of getting this laptop, it gave me nothing but issues. Keys stuck causing issues with gaming, had troubles connecting to any wifi source without immense amounts of time and effort, and just recently, it had a windows update. The computer is too stupid to realize after so many repair diagnostics and troubleshooting that it was a windows problem. It is not letting me Uninstall the last update, therefore I am having to reset the entire computer. MONTHS of work on this computer. Including school documents, gaming work for my stream and SO much more, I have to delete every single file. I didnt think a laptop over 1000$ would cause me enough problems to have to back everything up, but here we are. I, as a tech nerd, know not to get onto any malicious websites on my laptop. I know what sites are sketchy. And all that stupid stuff. This laptop is terrible. I dont recommend getting it at all. And if you already have, I am terribly sorry.

> 3 dayThis laptop is a great affordable alternative to other gaming laptops on the market today and is very fast. However, that being said based on my experience and other reviews I think the quality control by Acer is subpar. While the laptop I received had no software issues, one of keys on the 10 key pad was not properly inspected. I first noticed this upon opening the laptop as it was visibly not seated correctly and was lopsided. I initially thought it was just not pressed into place all the way but found out it would not click into place either. So I removed the key and the under bracket to reveal that one of the pins attached to the frame for the key bracket was not properly raised into place. Therefore the key would not seat properly or press. Now I could have gone though all the hassle that others have written about to get it fixed, but time is a factor for me and I work in the IT industry so I fixed it myself. I would think for a laptop at this price point quality control would be better or if issues are common that customer service would be. Overall though I think the laptop is a great deal provided you get one that is properly assembled.
