> 3 dayI bought this in July of 2018 for about $650.00 new on sale. Laptop has been GREAT! I upgraded the memory 32gb and new SSD right after I purchased it, and recently upgraded to a new 2tb and 4tb ssd. Stripped it down internally and replaced all thernal pads and re-pasted the cpu and gpu. Fans all still work but I did clean them too. The laptop has always run a bit hot under the wasd keys, but I have always used a laptop fan/stand and I built a usb powered cooling fan to sit on top/over the wasd key area to cooling. Ive never had a problem with thermal throttling when gaming. I replaced Windows OS many years ago..... best improvement I could have ever down for any computer. Currently rocking linux POPOS and Kali on dual boot. This laptop has been an excellent investment and more defiantly got moneys worth out of it. I have several newer and faster laptops, but this one goes everywhere with me.

19-04-2025I really really do love this gaming lapop! Except I have a few complaints. First off everything spec wise is really great for the amount of money it costs. But the display is a little more flimsy than I would like it to be. Also its heat management is horrendous. I read the reviews about it being bad, but its terrible. I bought a cooling fan to place under the laptop, and even with that on as well as the laptops fans set to Max (with cool boost on) it still reaches about 80°F. And the keys especially around the WASD area becomes really uncomfortable to work with because of the heat. Which is unfortunate considering WASD are the main keys for most PC Games. It also seems to have trouble keeping steady frames after longer periods of time. The track pad also doesnt seem like its very sturdy but its accurate enough at least. Those are really my only complaints. I think spec wise though the Laptop is amazing.

> 3 dayIve built and owned many computers, but I have never heard one this loud. The fans are actually louder than my dell R630 and R720XD poweredge servers!

> 3 dayI got two of these - one is great (hence a two star, not 0) the other crashes all the time. Gives an unbootable device type error message and I have to shut it down and restart.

> 3 dayI am writing this from Day One of recieving this laptop. Once, unboxed and create a user, I proceed to use the Microsoft Edge web browser. Immediately, I got hit with error_connection_timed_out on msn.com. I then try the gamer paradise, Steam website, same result. Reddit, same thing. Amazon, where I bought this thing, same thing. Even when advised by tech support to go to the brands website, Acer, it timed out the same way. Tried updating the drivers, says that they are the latest. Tried downloading new drivers from acer website using my ethernet cable, same thing afterwards. Tried flushing the dns and reconfig ip, worked for a couple of hours, then same thing. TL:TR Gaming laptop, nearly a grand does not even have properly working wifi drivers. I do not even have a chance to view major websites much less play games. I am going to get a refund, what a waste of time.

> 3 dayI handle hundreds of laptops a year as a system administrator at Ohio State. This is one of the worst models I have worked with. The screen is coming apart and the GPU has already failed.

> 3 dayRecieved this about a week ago. Ive been trying every game I have on it. This in my opinion is one of the best options for the price. Its alittle on the heavy side, but its durable for sure. Thankyou for a high quality product
